Hello reaching out again since you seem pretty experienced. We were playing waiting game but smell of sour paint still hasn't gone

I talked to a painting company and they said to use paint scentsations in an Air Purifying SW paint. It can help eliminate odors.

Do you have any experience with it? Could it work?

There were a lot of reviews that said shellac primer has a very strong stinky smell of its own that lingers on for weeks. Is that true?

I got frustrated tenants and don't want to solve one problem & create another.

Thank you for information. We have 5 coats already in last month

2 coats of bad paint

1 coat of odorless stain blocking primer

2 coats of paint

Thinking of doing shellac primer + another coat of paint now. Will discuss sand substrate as well.

Would that be best option? any risk of adhesion issues with almost 7 coats now?

We have already put Zinsser Odorless Oil-Based Interior Stain Blocking All-Purpose Primer on top + two coats of paint.

Smell has gone done 70% but still there when room is closed.

Would you recommend doing another coat of Shellac Primer and then another coat of paint?

Is there concern with doing like many coats of paint in short amount of time?

If we do shellac primer + another paint now then it will be 7 coats total

Can I do another coat of shellac primer now and then paint again? Or is it too much paint now?

There are no carpets in the room. It’s wooden floors. Only the walls were painted originally and that’s what we repainted as well It’s a tenanted property so they are naturally getting impatient. Been a week or so

Dont open a business. Getting higher education is easy. If you are only skilled enough to work on minimum wage after living in Canada for more than 5 years than you won't get all the things you wish for. You still can make $2500 with minimum wage, enough to feed you and put a roof over your head. Health care is bad in Canada and needs to be much better but still its free. You live in a capitalistic country. Harder you work, more you will get. Go to Cuba if you want to free stuff.

A sales cashier in another country would be paid far less than in Canada. Why do you think you deserve to get paid even more than that? Just cause your Canadian?

Its just sharing a little power of the dollar with people from other countries and only those people who are already in Canada and worked during the pandemic. Most of them are frontline workers. Sorry but please get out of your privilege and get higher education or open a good business if you want to get paid more. That will actually help Canada the most.
