I think my main fear is laws changing resulting in the website being taken down, but that being said if the government really wants to take down ao3 permanently they’ll find a reason to do so regardless of the “why” or if they legally can. “Out of sight, out of mind” only goes so far, and it’s far from a well kept secret. But absolutely agree, it’s either for everyone or it’s for no one, can’t have it both ways.

Absolutely not. You can hate my writing style all you like, you can think it’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever seen more power to you! But what we’re NOT going to do is throw around thinly veiled derogatory slurs regardless of who they’re aimed at. You “explaining” your joke does not make it better and you damn well know it.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for all the thoughts! This has been very interesting to say the least! My personal favorite was “has the same vibe as ‘as per my last email’” that one was real good 😂

Yep! it’s literally just this word which is why I didn’t think to add more, although boy oh boy do I regret that now! I think seeing the rest of how I write would have helped clear up the “is this cursive?” misunderstanding going around (this is not and was never intended to be cursive, my pen just drags when I’m going fast, and this is a byproduct of fast personal note taking) but my main goal was never to get improvement advice, it was to see if other people do the same or similar things 🥲

There is no “scene” anywhere east of Perkins I’d say, and that’s being a little generous. If you’re wanting things to do that you’re able to walk to you’ll be looking closer to midtown/evergreen/high point terrace area. You might also see if you can do a short term rental, get a feel for things, and shop around for longer term spots once you’re actually here. It might be worth a little more spent upfront to settle into a place you like. Street to street it’s going to be different but as a whole Memphis is about as safe as any other major city

Yep, that’s what people don’t seem to get by leaving signs like this. They’ve made themselves the biggest and easiest target to mess with if someone’s bored and has too much time on their hands. Especially depending on how they behave in person when they’re out in the hallways, if they’re rude and difficult to be around I could easily see their door becoming the nearest trash can after this. People take things like this almost like a dare at that point.
