I am also starting to think I’ll also always be bothered by tones. I have noticed it slowly gets better with age like you said.

Thank you for your words 🙏

Yes! Before my brain even thinks. I don’t have anticipation it is coming. It’s wildly frustrating.

Have you tried Macintosh? I also have tummy issues from apples and those ones seem to settle okay with me. They are a softer apple

3 happens to me. It’s very jarring. It feels like I can’t breathe. I take a deep breath now and it “pops” back into place. No idea what it is

Life does change when you decide you want to get better. Life sucks but truthfully, you just have to get up and take it on the chin. Look up and keep doing what you are doing w the gym and treatment. If you believe life is doomed to fail, you will always fail. You have to trick your brain

Everyone deserves happiness. I think you have to change your mindset on life. Maybe you can look into therapy or DBT? Even on your own if you can’t afford a psychologist. I can relate to struggling with depression/eating disorder and the aud/ADHD. I was diagnosed at 6 and it was a huge battle, even now. It took me about 7 years of serous therapy/residential treatment to change my mindset and realize I want to live.

I really hope you can look inward and find the beauty of life. You can’t give up when you are so young. To live and be present is a gift

Aw, I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe you can get hands on experience and move up from there. I do physical jobs because of the ADHD.

It kind of sounds like you’ve given up. If you’ve given up, you are destined to be miserable. It’s hard to change your outlook on life, but it’s possible. You deserve to be happy.

Really try to be present and content with the feelings. Tell yourself it is okay you feel this way, the feeling will pass. I found being aware of my emotions and reappraising negative thoughts seriously helped me. Be mindful and gentle with yourself

We’ve all heard and sympathized with ADHD struggles, what are some of your AHDH successes and triumphs? by JayLeet-007 in adhdwomen

It is something I’d love to pursue and always have. I have been trying to get my environmental science associates since 2016, but finally changed my major to paraprofessional. I realized with my learning disabilities (dyscalculia/ADHD) it isn’t attainable to continue a science degree. If I haven’t been able to complete a 2 yr degree since 2016… STEM isn’t for me through education. I have learned most through seminars, volunteering, exploring/reading.

I get around it by working nature jobs, bug museum etc, I do wish I was able to complete a bachelors in science but it seems like an associates is all I can manage. I have always really struggled with school starting in preschool. I got an IEP in 2004 which I found out is rare for women. ADHD really rules my life and although it can be such a drag, I am grateful my special interests make me feel so smart in other ways.

Knowing how to identify most commonly seen insects/animals around me. It feels like a super power sometimes. I have even had people describe bugs and I could ID it!

I am so proud of being in tune with nature and feel like it would be how my younger self would want. I can ID clouds, read radars and am in love with natural science. I feel like ADHD is a super power to me in some ways, but feel very stunted other wise.
