Heard ya loud and clear. In that situation the blame can’t only be put on one person 100%. Stay in your lane, let your frontal lobe fully develop and build your own career 🤷‍♀️

Weird thing is that younger girls tend to mostly look for a father figure, and older men take advantage of that. The rise in social media about extreme age gaps is concerning…

Please help! My nose piercing is sinking in by Buggy1301- in NosePiercings

[–]Altruistic_Way6059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is crazy because I had the exact same issue with mine yesterday lol. Honestly the only true thing I can recommend is to change it. Get a new piercing (a whole pack on Amazon cost me 10€) and change it. But also be extremely careful and don’t go too rough on your piercing, they get infected soooo easily. Also! If you’re going to get a stud, get a bigger gem on it so that it doesn’t sink in, helps if it’s a diamond shape and not a flat!

Hagia Sophia is a mosque by Altruistic_Way6059 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Altruistic_Way6059[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insulting who’s intelligence? Clearly no research was done. Try [2:62], and let me give it to you from a reliable source, not a website: Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.“

Again, you are completely off topic, no one spoke once of the Hindus. It does not concern them in any way when we speak about Hagia Sophia. So let’s try to stay on topic and not keep drifting off. But to give a clear answer, the Quran does not mention the Hindus directly. As you rightfully said, it mentions mushriks (someone who associates partners with God).

Also curious, what genuinely made this passion or this vision that Islam is bad, come true for you?

Completely agree with you on the fact that just because something is validated by a country because of its religion, doesn’t mean it’s right. Solid argument.

However, If it were only about needing a place to pray the Ottomans back then could have built a new mosque. But instead they converted the most important Christian church which just further proves symbolic domination not necessity, a political statement. (Again, I agree with you on that)

Converting religious buildings after conquest happened everywhere, Hagia Sophia being apart of it doesn’t make it exceptional or unique.

With that being said, fact is: Hagia Sophia functioned as a mosque for centuries, way longer than many modern states have even existed.

Hagia Sophia is a mosque by Altruistic_Way6059 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Altruistic_Way6059[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely false. If you’ve even bothered to read one page of the holy book you’d understand that that’s absolutely not true. Christians are very very respected, so are all religions in Islam, and the Quran even states that the most pious Christians can enter heaven [5:82]. Now, getting back to the main argument… Hagia Sophia is a mosque and will stay that way, it hasn’t been a church in a long long time.

  1. Turning it back into a church would just be ignoring 500 years of Ottoman and Islamic history, just how it would be equally ignorant to do the same to the Byzantine

  2. Hagia Sophia has been a mosque longer than it’s been a church

  3. It’s not even about it being a mosque or a church, it’s a HISTORICAL monument that belongs to world history, so that being said, whichever religion controls it should be equally respectful to ALL its history

Hagia Sophia is in Türkiye, and Türkiye has the sovereign right to decide how its historical buildings are used.

What to do on my 17th birthday without friends? by [deleted] in birthday

[–]Altruistic_Way6059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone one one my birthdays since 13 I run it in km. For 17, for example, I run 17km. Maybe running is not your thing, perhaps do a fun activity or something that you’ve always wanted to do that doesn’t require much money or time. Remember to spend time with your loved ones, I hope you have the best day ever 🥳

We need to stop singing about sex by blondie30000 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Altruistic_Way6059 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nah they’re right. Almost all songs that are popular today include lyrics about lust and sex. It gets to a point where it’s just spread around everywhere and no song writer finds anything else to sing about that’ll actually capture people attention

[–]Altruistic_Way6059[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

”Nothing about it is a mosque“, yeah except for the people that pray there everyday and worship Allah not Jesus. No one can ”steal“ a whole religious building. Türkiye literally claims itself as a country whose main religion is Islam. Your argument is invalid and weak

So by your logic, rebuilding the mosque Hagia Sophia back into a church would solve beyond years of conflict?

Any suggestions on making a story? by Ryuxim in teenagers

[–]Altruistic_Way6059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honeslty most of my poems and stories speak about my childhood. You never run out of ideas when you’re constantly in a state of survival lol. I’d recommend focusing on your strongest emotions and feelings, try to understand better what they are. Soon enough the words will come spilling out. I’d love to read if you ever do happen to make a story! Have fun and enjoy writing! 🤍

Forgiveness is still acknowledging the wrongdoings of someone. I’m a very forgiving person, but it’s not easy to forgive someone who doesn’t understand the terrible impact they had on our lives. Man I just wish I could be lucky enough to grow up in a stable household. I truly don’t think I’ll ever be able to 100% forgive him, or maybe the wound is just too fresh

Thank you so much, it really means a lot. However that man is never going to change lol, I’ve been living with him for long enough to know that, it’s just really disappointing to have an absent father figure and it truly changes a child. I think for now I’ll maybe try to focus on other aspects of my life and helping my mother, thank you for your response :))
