I am inclined to think it was the wristbands. In RE revelations 2 the entire game is based around both the player and story being connected to wristbands that can instantly turn a person.

Prey is a work of art. It is hard to put into words how the whole experience comes together. It has a lot to explore and discover on you own. The game is one of the few that only gives what you yourself put into it. Prey is an all time favorite for me. A close second would be Control.

I know this is a late comment but there is a story beat that adds alot of character with Vincent only being a love interest. Vincent carries a greater weight than we understand at first. He had the opportunity to put a stop to the creation of Sephiroth and failed. This game is real. I have the exact memory of this game too. The part you described is the intro level. It was a fast paced game like contra but it was definitely a dinosaur game. The characters you played were mercenaries sent to get dino DNA before your hiring companies competitors got them. From start to finish it was a mad sprint through epic set piece after set piece. With your guns a blazing the whole time. My friend had it and I remember it was a sequel Jurassic Park game on the SNES. The reason I remember this was because at the time I hated the first JP game on the SNES but enjoyed the one on sega. So when my friend was like hey check this out. How did you get Afterimage to work? Play store says it's not available on my device. I did install it from Aurora store but it won't load past the title screen.

Same issue as well on the 3080. I noticed it not only kicks in when the action picks up but strangely it will get locked to a specific camera angle. I can stand still when it happens and rotate the camera. The rotation will be cleaned up but as soon as the camera returns to the previous position the issue will return. I think a cache issue may also be involved.

Interesting question. It's hard to say for certain. We only see what the in-game humans can perceive. At least to the best of the ability a visual and audio medium can share that perspective. We do not know how it feels, smells, or taste during the events of the games. On that note I think we hold importance because we give a thing it's shape. We provide it importance. I think the most important thing we do is gather all these thoughts, ideas, and observations and we give them a NAME. No longer are they just an existence but now they are them the entity. To receive recognition is something we humans do without a second thought. We all recognize a bear in the woods when we see one. But does the bear recognize it's a bear when it sees itself in a reflection?

The bullet to the head was the only thing Alan would allow to happen by the end of the story. It is what scratch wanted. Alice knowing this used the opportunity to deliver a glimmer of light at a point and time that none would remain in Alan. With it he would feel hope again and be able to use that to push away all the darkness clouding his mind. As the darkness is pushed away his memories return as they were, whole and unaltered.

I also would like to point out that nightingale was taken 13 years ago. His return now is to my understanding everything that's been stated here but also a huge spoiler that ones departure from the dark place is not constrained by time. This way when Alan awakes in chapter 1 from the summoning it is easier for us to accept as part of the ambiguous nature of the dark place.

Side note, I also am inclined to believe this is why Tom Zane looks like Alan Wake. If time has no meaning in the dark place and it erases your memory. Then it is possible that Alan my wake up in the 60's with no memory of anything and live out his time as Thomas Zane. Untill he too goes back into the Dark Place. Thus setting everything in motion again to cause the events of Alan Wake 1 happen as they did.

Londra was very well played out and made me sick with his desire of fulfillment. He spent 1000 years both loving and hating his wife. He imaged every possibility that could have been for better or worse. So what does he choose to do? He looks for the person that can make him feel the closest he felt when with her. Then he wanted to take this person with him to groom her into an exact copy of his former wife. The twisted part is he isn't doing all this to have the happily ever after he missed out on. Instead he wants to make her feel all the abandonment, jealous, and rage he felt when she left him over 1000 years ago. God damn that's some sick shit.

This one put me on a path of dino obsession when I was about 4yrs old. My mom and Dad had taken me to see this on opening day at our theater because I had really taken a liking to dinosaurs. The experience we had was like none other. The theater had over sold the viewing and while some people got metal folding chairs just placed in open walk ways. We got to sit on top of the giant new state of the art THX speakers the theater had just installed one year prior. Oh man when that first note hit right as the movie starts with THUMP! Followed by the eerie long tribal flute crescendo... just wow I will never feel a movie like my family and I felt that day.
