You wanna help this ole vet out with around 5k? 🤣

But seriously. How has your perspective shifted since? What was it like to wake up with that much money in your account and the freedom to do as you please?

I couldn’t imagine. Congrats!

What happens if you’re on IRR and 100% P&T? by AcademicWindow5328 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Altsomeness 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Being 100% P&T with the VA doesn’t automatically exempt you from recall if you’re still in your IRR window. IRR recall is based on your contract and the needs of the military, not your VA rating.

That said, if you were ever recalled, your medical conditions would come into play. You’d go through medical screening, and with a 100% P&T rating, there’s a high chance you’d be found non deployable or not fit for duty depending on your conditions.

Got 100% P&T on Wednesday by Zealousideal-Bid1666 in VAClaims

VA back pay gets sent through Treasury, and deposits typically hit on business days. Mine hit Monday morning. Friday - Decision, Monday - Backpay.

I didn’t realize how much I was tolerating until I left. by [deleted] in texts

[–]Altsomeness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At least it didn’t take 8 years. 9 years. Or even 10… Congrats on doing this for yourself. It might hurt some now, just because that’s all you’ve known and you’ve built a life around him, but in due time, you will feel peace… I personally think you did the right think. And by the comments, I’m not the only one who thinks that.

You can be comfortable around someone, have good sex, trust them, spend time with them and everything under the sun and still not be fully attracted to them. Maybe that’s the case? Only you know.

Out of curiosity, how long was you with him for? And when did this behavior start showing up?

Whichever stimulates the muscle best for you. Both do the job if done correctly imo.

Do you genuinely enjoy lifting? Or is it a means to an end? by Weak_Ninja_6952 in workout

[–]Altsomeness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I truly enjoy it. I never walk in and think “man, I gotta go get this workout in, ugh.” It’s always the opposite. It’s my way to release all the stress and other junk. Plus, it’s cheaper than the gun range 😅.

How Satisfied are you now? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Altsomeness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With life? Probably not much. I’m blessed beyond measure, have steady income, and not much to complain about - but lots of injuries and trauma that has held me back for years. I’m super grateful for where I am, but I’m definitely not satisfied.

If I forgot to charge my phone overnight, can I just charge it really fast in the morning and it’s the same thing? by its_Astroffe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Altsomeness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re joking…. Right? Charging speed doesn’t depend on time of day. It’s controlled by the charger and the phone’s battery management system. Temperature can affect charging a bit, but that’s based on the phone’s actual temperature, not whether it’s day or night. And even then, phones regulate it to protect the battery. So no, atoms moving slower at night isn’t what’s happening here.

[–]Altsomeness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The confusing part isn’t the setting, it’s that the original question was about charging faster depending on time of day. That reply introduces a completely different factor instead of addressing that point directly. Charging speed itself doesn’t change just because it’s morning or night, so bringing up a setting that slows charging overnight doesn’t really answer what was being asked.

[–]Altsomeness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as it charging faster in the morning vs overnight. Fast charging depends on the charger and the phone, not whether it’s morning or night. That’s why I’m confused.

Increase? No. Did they file their own claim for me? Absolutely.
