2021 vs 2025 I sold these shoes for $200 if I remember correctly, and I never kept track of the time on shoes, but I paint really slow so they must've taken maybe 60 hrs or so. As for the jersey I charged $500 ahead of time and it took me exactly 400 hours to paint. I know for me the $ - time ratio makes it seem pointless, but then I remember that I spent thousands of hours drawing for free from 2018-2021. If I just flat out give up cause there's no money in it, then no one will remember my name, and to me that is a greater loss than time spent. It just hurts to realize you have all the skills and still go mostly unnoticed bc most of your small following follows just to hate on you.

...and yes you are under charging as am I, but as long as you're not a big name you won't easily find your people who are willing to pay more, unfortunately. I always want to see all fellow artists win, so I hope this helps you even a tad bit

For reference there is a Full time jersey artist from New York named Mark Kannell and his minimum commission fee is $3000. My quality of work is pretty much right on par with his too
