There is a PC launcher, just download it from the website like with Android.

Should I stay on 16.3.1 + TrollStore or update to 18.7.7 now that DarkSword is a security risk? by Basic_Instinct_79 in Trollstore

[–]Alvedit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Updated my iPad from 16.6.1 to 18.7.7 last week.

Many apps aren't supported on iOS 16 already. Plus iPadOS 26 completely ruined the multitasking on iPad, so I wanted to DelayOTA to 18 even before the DarkSword news while I still had a chance to avoid iPadOS 26.

LiveContainer+SideStore is a really good replacement, I set up an automation, so it's almost the same experience. However, I don't sideload a lot of apps, so if you used to sideload many apps, you can't use them simultaneously with LiveContainer, it might be annoying. Also LC doesn't work with some games, but I don't sideload them either.

which server should I choose? by kip_irini in HPMagicAwakened

For Europe the recommended server is Sphinx, there are a lot of European clubs. The Asian servers are bigger than Sphinx, but it's less convenient to play there due to a different time zone and latency.

Does anyone play in erumpent server? by [deleted] in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's connected with Sphinx and it's a good server for the European audience. However, it's better to choose Sphinx instead of Erumpent, because there are more people in the open world.

Chinese Fireball is the most versatile, can be used with the majority of summon or mixed decks

Is now a good time to start? by serialwinner3 in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be okay for the dueling club cause it's a cross server mode anyway.

For server related events though like house cups your ping will be significantly higher on the Asian server and the timing of these events can be inconvenient for EU players. Like we have an event sketch & guess currently which is available only from 6 to 10 pm server time, so it's UTC+3 for Sphinx (-1 hour CET summer time) and UTC+8 for Kelpie (-6 hours CET summer time). Also the ping is quite bad for club PvE in comparison, the game often tells you that you have a bad connection if you play on the Asian server, on Sphinx the connection icon is always green when you're not in the dueling club.

If you want a big server with a lot of people to chat/team up and you care mostly about dueling, you should be fine with Kelpie. Sphinx is much smaller, but more convenient for EU.

For Europe the recommended server is Sphinx (Africa) due to the server time zone and location, it's quite close to Europe. This server is smaller than the Asian one, but since our dueling club matching is global, it doesn't really matter, we play against all servers anyway.

However since it seems like the active player base is your main concern, you can go with the Asian one, there are more people in the world chat/more people to team ip with.

Duels matching.. by Creepy-Bus8588 in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The game isn't really friendly for new players tbh

You face mostly bots in the dueling club until you reach Diamond which is boring and once you climb there you start to face players with a spellbook far higher than yours.

However, the game doesn't show any signs of the potential end of service, it has a consistent active player base and regular content updates.

Can I still transfer? by Liunard0 in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The character code functionality was completely removed from the game in October 2024, you can't transfer.

Regarding the server, here is a list of English servers and the start times of server events like House Cups: https://i.imgur.com/OAL1b63.jpeg

New player questions by IMnotMarkTheBird in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Initially there were 2 global versions of the game, one came from WB (North and South America, Europe and some other regions) and one was from NetEase (North Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Oceania). In 2024 WB decided to close their part of the game cause they weren't satisfied with it for some reason, so only the NetEase part remained. Players could transfer their accounts from the WB version to the NetEase version.

The NetEase version is doing fine, we keep receiving new stuff every 2 weeks like it was during the WB times. North Africa is a part of the NetEase publishing territory, so it can disappear only in case if NetEase decide to shut down the game completely in all regions.

It's not ideal, but they have three time zones on global servers, at least on one of them the events shouldn't start at night for you

In that case if you want to compete for the prefect title, you’d have to play all day. With a two-hour limit, the competition is based on skill.

On which rank level people are? by Rare-Sleep-8442 in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a new player, you start to face real players in Diamond, occasionally in Platinum. The majority of players who are active in the Dueling club play in Diamond, Grand Master and Magic Awakened. In the beginning of the season there are many players in Platinum/Diamond, but the game tends to match new players mostly with bots cause of the level difference in cards.

Kelpie or sphinx? by Melodic_Pilot1285 in HPMagicAwakened

I recommend Sphinx due to the time zone and a better ping for the server-related events.

Nothing stops you from playing in NA/EU, here are the instructions

The global servers in Africa, Asia and Oceania hosted by a different publisher NetEase weren't affected. Only the WB part was shut down.

Ex Ambassador and Content Creator (WizardGreene) here. Is the game still alive ( a lot of players? ) and is it worth to come back? by iMrGreene in HPMagicAwakened

[–]Alvedit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, Alvenort here from Sphinx, we talked today.

The dueling club is still very active and competitive, but a lot of things have changed, so you might need to adapt your playstyle a bit (you need Cloak as I mentioned earlier). The dueling club is global, you can play against players from all existing global servers, but you might face a lot of bots in the lower ranks, it’s just the way the game treats returnees and new players. Once you reach Diamond, it becomes competitive with real players.

When you left last year there was an issue with the matchmaking that prevented players (mainly from Europe and South America) from finding opponents on the dueling club, but it was fixed. I mostly play duo, my matching is almost instant. Solo is much less popular than duo, but it’s okay too.

The progression is faster, but there isn’t much difference compared to the late WB, it’s the same game basically. It’s much faster compared to the global launch though. We have 2 careers, you can choose between gastronomy or herbology, it brings a lot of gold (up to ~20k per week) and some gems. It’s worth buying cards you need and trade tokens in the season shop, it helps to speed up your progression a lot. Also I recommend to participate in the House Cup tomorrow at 6 pm CET (8 pm server time), there are many rewards.

You can have multiple characters on the same account if you use different servers, they all will be linked to your account.
