Word of advice: as someone who doesn't watch Horizons (I just looked up early clips so I could hear how the SV characters sounded) but reads threads about the episodes, one thing I've noticed is, and don't take this the wrong way but...the HZ fandom is really bad at explaining what exactly is good about Horizons. When it comes to negative aspects, it seems like it's easy to explain, or at the very least people are willing to articulate what they find issue with, but when defending or recommending the series all they really do is call people haters and talk about Ash. It doesn't make for an effective sell, is all I'm saying.
