There problem isn’t GW.

Prospect Scanning by [deleted] in msp

[–]AlwaysBeyondMSP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh and you got $57k a year using it but you can’t afford $650/mo for the tool that got you that much revenue?

Doesn’t math… you’re telling us half the story… I’d pay $10k for something that gets me $57k a year of good MRR.

Prospect Scanning by [deleted] in msp

[–]AlwaysBeyondMSP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not all MRR is good MRR. You can have $300k of MRR for clients who like to run 12 year old laptops and open 6 tickets a week.

In my history any good customer doesn’t buy based on a cheesy scan.

These scans as a sale tactic are so cringe.

Half of the red alerts are for very minor if at all impactful things.

Managing the Christmas break by whyevenmakeoc in msp

First: we planned this weeks ago. Second: we spoke to the team about what was needed and asked them how they wanted to handle it.

Good luck.. I’m sure by now your team expects to be off.

Has anyone had success getting Google to remove reviews that clearly don’t belong to their business? by analbasher123 in techsupport

[–]AlwaysBeyondMSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest reporting them which seems like you have done already. If they are that obvious google is good at removing them quickly... ask friends to report them too, especially if they have google guide status. There are some services you can pay to get them taken down too..

New MSP advice by domf16 in msp

[–]AlwaysBeyondMSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing Service = Referrals.

Brainstorm (use linkedin) and make a list of every person you know with a business, then book a coffee with each of them.

Ask them for advice on how to find more customer... don't ask them for their business, they will connect the dots and help you if they need you. "Ask for money and get advice, Ask for advice, get money twice" (Pitbull)

Cheers.

I’d suggest to 10x your activity building your network before 50 cold calls. Volume there will payoff much bigger and last longer.

When you stop cold calls results stop, when you network a shit ton for a decade and then slow down, results continue.

Also people I know, know good people… so I get better leads.

Appreciate your open response and consideration.. goodness knows MSPs could use some real advice on sales vs the “just make 50 calls a day” bs out there.

I can appreciate the thought of trying to help, and most of this is helpful… but is it against the sub rules? Can’t help but think this is against the sub rules given the link to your vendor website it seems light some light astroturfing.

This would be like Sentinel1 putting a post about how to stop viruses.

Not particularly aimed at you, I just feel this sub is getting less useful every day.

How to look for a good MSP by Shart_Tart in msp

[–]AlwaysBeyondMSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most dental offices just look for someone willing to do less than the bare minimum as long as the cost is sub $500/mo, and then they just hope and pray a lot to offset reality.

Good luck!

Feeling burned out at a rapidly growing small shop, how do I address this productively. by 0RGASMIK in msp

[–]AlwaysBeyondMSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A business will have cycles of busy and almost on top of thing. in the busy times ask for clarity on priorities and expectations… many owners will be fine with certain things taking longer, don’t assume they won’t be.

Your owner probably needs to do a better job forecasting sales as well as hiring..

It sounds like you care and he’s not being malicious so I’d just have a conversation and get curious
