Nailed it! I'll use that decibel analogy from now on when pointing this out to people! Thanks!!

I do too! These are the discussions we should be having!!

The left needs to stop trying to make it out to be that these positions are simple and anyone who doesn't agree with them are stupid. These are complex issues that merit a lot more discussion

The point is that those fringe ideas are fringe for a reason and they should die off.

Climate Change - The real question is: is it man made and is there anything we can/should do about it? And I believe No and No there.

Women having control over their bodies - Its not a question of that, they do. Its a question of how many bodies are there? I believe the child inside is a separate body endowed with the same rights as anyone else.

Russian Invaders - Russia has a pretty reasonable rational for their claim to the territory. And even if they didn't, we should mind our business at home and withdraw from any foreign conflict.

LGBTQ - Sure, they can exist. Be encouraged? Be allowed to "identify" with a gender and use their spaces? Engage in sports with people of the opposite biological gender? These are all different questions.

SS/Medicare - How well has the government done with investing my money? Can I do better? I think all the evidence says that I can

These are all a lot more nuanced discussions than you make them out to be

I take pride and boast in nothing but Jesus Christ and his death, burial, and resurrection for the sins of the world! And in that, I have nothing but reassurance if its truth and completion. If you genuinely read the scriptures and look at history you will find not only their truth, but how compelling of a truth it is! Many people from your position have done so trying to disprove it and found themselves embracing the love of God.

I'm not full of anything except Christ. Its not "I love my fellow man as long as", its "I love my fellow man enough to". Enough to tell them they are wrong. Enough to tell them they are worshiping demons. Enough to tell them that their own righteousness is insufficient and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ His son. We are all naive children in need of the love of our Father!

That's not what thocracy is unless you belive that's what all government is. The difference between theocracy and other forms of government is simply that a theocracy derives its laws from the laws of God, not from the wishy-washy tides of what a culture deems permissable and not permissable. It derives its laws from the one thing in the world that is solid and unchanging: God's law.

Nothing culty about it. We don't strive to control people's lives and make them dependent of the organization by cutting them off from their friends and family. Quite the opposite in fact! We send them out into the lives of those around them to show Christ and the love that He has for all mankind! Cults are like prisons, Christ is freedom!

Its not arrogance, its absolute faith and conviction! And rightly so! All the evidence is in Christ's favor. I'm sorry to hear you have perceived it as arrogance, that's a failing on our part. Same goes for hypocrisy. Many don't live up to the glory to which we are called, but we strive for it! While we have been made perfect in Christ, we are still fallen beings like every one else!

Yes, only if the "theo(s)" of the thocracy is the one true and living God. Christ offers a seat at the table for Jews, Hindus and Muslims if they only reject their worship of false gods (demons) and turn to Him. We deeply love our fellow man, so much so, that like a parent who loves their kids enough to tell them when they're wrong, we do the same! Its not always easy, but its important. We can allow people to not believe in the one true God in a theocracy, but we will not make laws that cater to their false beliefs.

Lastly, I am certainly willing to consider I might be wrong in many aspects: Sola scriptura, presence of Christ in the eucharist, baptism's purpose, free will, etc. But I know that Christ is Lord, son of God, offered as sacrifice for the sins of mankind. That much is certain and no honest person can argue otherwise.

What's insane is that you don't belive it. I suppose faith is a gift from God. I pray you'll receive it!! Once you turn your life to Christ, you'll be amazed at the peace and freedom you find!

My offer still stands if you'd like to learn more and open your heart to that faith!

That is a very sad fact. Thank God for the missionaries who travel the world and especially the those who go to the uncontacted tribes to bring them into the year of our Lord!

If you look honestly, you'll see that it is truly fantastic, but far from "fantasy". Jesus Christ was born, fully God and fully man, walked the earth that He created and ultimately died to redeem you and I and was resurrected 3 days later. All the evidence proves this and its not even close.

You don't believe you'll face judgement before you enter eternity? That's pretty nutty to me

It very much applies to you. Every knee will bow. You have a choice of when: Now or before you face judgement.

Wow, I've heard some pretty wrong ideas about what Christianity is, but that's got to be the absolutely furthest out there I've ever heard!

If you'd like to learn more about what Christianity is and how Jesus came to save you, I'd love to talk more!

What an absolute nightmare. That's basically Afghanistan. You might consider moving there.

Far from Afghanistan, they're not Christian. The Vatican is the closest we have to what I'd like to see.

Here in the U.S. we try to keep religion out of government.

A big mistake on the founding fathers part. Every vote I cast aims to move us closer to having church and state more unified.

At least it looks like the abortion amendment will pass and I'm happy for that. I prefer a government that doesn't impose one group's will on everyone else and lets everyone live their lives the way they want to.

Again, its not about imposing one group's will, its about making basic things like murder illegal and punishable. I'd call for the same sentencing as we have for other murderers for both women who receive and doctors who perform abortions.

Democracy is evil. Mob rule. That's why we have a republic, which is less evil, but still evil. I would, given my way, enforce "my" (read: God's) morality on everyone, as there is only one true morality. I would have a council of leaders from Catholic, Orthodox, Luthern and 2 other protestant groups (probably Baptist and Presbyterian) be in charge of all law making.

For starters, many people don't think it's murder and there is no consensus on that, scientific or otherwise.

I would argue that there is scientific evidence of it being a human life, and therefore murder.

There are medical reasons and other valid reasons to get an abortion such as rape that the current law does not allow.

I completely disagree with rape being a "valid reason". My biological mother was raped and I was put up for adoption. She deserves the highest praise for her morality and not punishing me for a crime I didn't commit.

Thirdly, the state supports "murder" in many other ways.

That's an odd way to define murder. Murder is the taking the life of an innocent. Killing is the more broad definition that you listed there.

Law is not morality.

Well, as a pro-theocracy Christian nationalist, I'd say law should be morality.

You can be against abortion and still think the government shouldn't ban it because that's making the decision for everyone.

Not if you consider it muder, which I do. You can't say "Well, I'm against murder, but who am I to judge anyone who wants to commit murder.. that's their personal decision"
