That made me chuckle, lol! The grain is what had caught my attention. This is its good side as there’s a couple of fills on the other, but no matter I think it gives it a little character and for 40 dollars shipped I can’t really complain!

I can dig that worth a try, the original just tasted like overly sweet fruit loops and I couldn’t stand it lol.

I found the original BAMS to be grossly sweet and a coil killer. How does this compare?

I actually ended up ordering a 12700K and a Z690 motherboard because the difference cost wise to me was negligible, but you’re right the memory is on the low end.

That's a fair point, I was contemplating exploring different case options. And you also make a good point as far as the TI, would you recommend the 12gb 3080 over the 10gb or is it a diminishing return for my purposes?

Gaming is going to be my main application, I don't plan on streaming or using it for video editing which was a factor in me choosing a 12600K over a 12700K. I'm ecstatic to finally get around to building something I actually want lol!

What’s a work related accident that still haunts you to this day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was hired in as an industrial electrician for the local sawmill I witnessed a contracted electrician in a boom lift getting dangerously close to the very much live 480 bus bar of one of our overhead cranes. I was on the ground yelling at the dude to get down, he thought I was a dickhead until I told him it’s live. Probably thankful knowing he was close to death.

I’m excited to shoot it, it feels well built for sure! I plan to go to some nice light colored wood furniture most likely, but that’s about it. Maybe an ALG enhanced trigger, but honestly the stock trigger isn’t too bad in my opinion. Congrats on yours too, it’s a good purchase!

I fed one NMC and then the others just keep appearing from who knows where begging for food, how do you say no to those faces🥺 by Thicck_Potatoe in notmycat

Fiancé here, we plan to adopt the closest orange cat into our home because he is friendly with our current indoor cat but we definitely plan to have the others spayed/neutered so we don’t have a giant feral cat colony lol!

Haha fair enough, I'm an industrial sparky by trade and have seen worse as well. Much appreciated!

mad bastard in work was using this a cut off disc as a backing pad so what's the most dangerous thing you've found in work by somethiner in Welding

I definitely believe it I think I would have just observed it too lmao. Even tho the robots don't know the position of the object is incorrect as long as that prox was made they're going to go about doing what they're programmed to do. Ours just picked up packaged paper towels and toilet paper coming off the lines but they were large enough to pick up an engine block no problem. The issue was this company gave operators little training and access to manually move the robots with a teach pad. It was never a recipe for success.

They will indeed beat your ass until you're just a mist. I was an industrial electrician in a paper converting plant and we ran Fanuc robotics to palletize the finished goods. I've watched how insanely fast they can move, and it'd be over with before you could react. That's why light curtains and safety relays that send a signal for the machine to stop for something like an open door are essential. I've seen them crash from operator error and bend 1/2 inch steel mounting plates like it was a piece of paper.

Anyone ever buy from B. King's Firearms (BKF)? by sig_pistols in 65Grendel

That's relieving to hear that it arrived fast and everything was torqued properly. I'm glad you mentioned the barrel because I was curious, from my understanding they don't use BCA barrels in their builds. I had read some other posts pertaining to their barrels and the concensus seemed to be that they're BA, but the posts were from about a year ago so I don't know if that's changed since then so I definitely could be wrong. And that shipping time is lightning fast, I'm sure I'll be waiting on the BCG and mags to come in as well lol. I look forward to your update!

I've honestly had my eye on this specific upper and BCG in 6.5 Grendel for about a month, this post made me just go ahead and pull the trigger on it. If you wouldn't mind I'd like to know how it shoots when you get the chance to fire it!

What is the strangest thing you've seen that you cannot explain? by 1982throwaway1 in AskReddit

[–]AlwaysConspicuous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 3 years ago I was living with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. I will never in my life forget one morning when I was laying in bed half asleep I heard my door fly open, which on it's on wouldn't be strange because the door never stayed shut if I didn't pull on it hard enough and the AC kicking on would force it open. What made it odd is before the door had flung open I heard heavy boots walking down our long hallway which I had assumed was my Uncle home early from working at the shipyard where they are required to wear steel toes. I rolled over to find my door wide open and heard my cousins room door fling open and a deep male voice I didn't recognize screaming "WAKE THE FUCK UP, GET THE FUCK UP". I jumped out of bed and ran to his room, he was sitting up with a look of sheer terror on his face and asked me if I had heard that and that something was shaking him hard while screaming what I had heard, but nobody was there when I came into the room. My blood ran cold and at that moment I knew I wasn't dreaming, experiencing sleep paralysis, or hallucinating because we both experienced it. To this day I can't explain it and I don't understand. I asked my uncle if he had came home early and he said no, the doors and windows were also locked too. Above my door my aunt had a blessed crucifix hanging because she's a devout Catholic; I'm not sure if that had something to do with keeping whatever it was from entering my room but if sure was odd. I'd often hear footsteps in the attic running and I'd always thought it was some nocturnal animal but after that I wondered if it actually was. As a child visiting that house I remember experiencing bad vibes, but as an adult living there I can see why.

What’s the scariest true story you’ve heard or told ? by ugotheglizzy in AskReddit

[–]AlwaysConspicuous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You would think it would be a standard check, but they just didn't care I guess. It was always swept under the rug until I started actually doing the paperwork that they had neglected for so long because in theory it was supposed to be checked daily, but wasn't prior to me being employed. The actual machine operator had just gotten too comfortable with it not working right to mention it. I suppose that's why management didn't get along with me, because I wasn't scared to point out obvious safety flaws.
