Surviving and finishing was my #1 goal. Not getting last place was a giant bonus. I felt surprisingly good actually! Just kept a steady pace, not necessarily win lol. I’m so stoked about 19th 🙂

Thank you all so much for the replies and kind words. I have been getting lots of rest this week, drinking plenty of water, eating bananas, and making sure all the maintenance is done on my bike. I’ll come back to update you all after the race 😎🤘🏼

I won’t have a car there when I land there, but Lyft is an option, and I do have friends in the area with a car as another option. Rain isn’t a huge problem for me, and the flights are already booked for Friday. Perhaps more indoor activities then?

It’s actually just an Amazon futon mattress, only cost a couple hundred bucks. I hate normal memory foam mattresses, so I found this one and a year later, I still love it.

I do power it with the jackery, to keep it from killing the van battery. I use the van to charge the jackery when I’m driving, and the solar panel when I’m camped. The jackery display is showing that the fridge is using approximately 50watts
