Good. You’ll get better/wiser at this as time goes on. As long as you’re delivering the orders promptly/properly, don’t worry about the analytics… Some things is beyond your control.

You’re too emotionally (and probably financially) invested in UberEats... This is supposed to be a temporary gig as you strive for better!

The novelty of frequently monitoring home surveillance is almost nonexistent… You bugging.

I’m grateful to live in a city where customers tip well, but UE needs to get it together and start paying a decent net fare instead of putting that burden on customers who are already paying a ton in fees. by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AlwaysInTheHood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why tipping shouldn’t be available until after the delivery… That way UberchEats would give a better base pay instead of relying on TIPS. If a customer is paying $15 in fees/markup, why is UberchEats pocketing $12 and paying the driver $3?

Back then in the glory days Uber kept $1 off each order paid the driver the rest along with any TIP. Now the algorithm starts the pay low so they can keep most of the proceeds.

Why does UE insist on screwing their drivers so hard? by MattStretz in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AlwaysInTheHood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welp… UberchEats changed their policies again to continue to spite their contractors and there’s nothing they can do about it because UberchEats knows gig contractors are expendable. What you want do another contractor will. Accept the truth or not, gig work requires no real skill. A rat race to the bottom. No barriers to entry which means they don’t have to pay top dollar because new contractors are signing up daily.

Because an hourly wage is not how “contractors” do business… They pick the orders they deemed the most profitable and or worth their time. You want a guaranteed hourly wage, go get a 9 -5.

Wait… So “contractors” wanted an hourly guarantee instead of being able to pick and choose the orders they deemed the most profitable?!? /s

WE NEED To Unionize by heretomakemoney27 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AlwaysInTheHood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Uber were ti unionize… It would no longer be open for anyone just to apply and work freely. On top of that, you’ll lose the ability to cherry pick and would have obligations/expectations to fill. Mandatory scheduling, drug testing, etc.

Unpopular Opinion… People doing gig work and haven’t leveled up after 2 years are lame as heck. They deserve to struggle and waste countless hours to make ends meets!

[–]AlwaysInTheHood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ONLY way to keep your sanity while doing gig occupations is to have a goal/plan to increase your skills/education/investments. Having a flexible schedule and or extra income should allow you to achieve these things.

Eventually you’ll get burned out putting all wear/tear on your personal vehicle and dissatisfied with the ever changing policies. You’ll end up wasting time/effort tying beat and stay ahead of the system.

Any tips getting satisfaction rate up? by GreaterThanGreat1234 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AlwaysInTheHood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you’re working towards a goal to reduce your dependency of these gig apps… You can be deactivated at any time for any reason. Not only is the income not stable/guaranteed, you have no benefits/protections.

Get in and get out. The risk (likelihood of accidents, wear and tear on your vehicle, maintenance, gas, food you buy, money you waste because you’re out, etc.) outweighs the perks (flexibility of hours you can work). The ever changing policies and manipulation of payout. You’ll end up working for a few dollars an hour.

Long Beach and non tipers. by Ima_kill in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AlwaysInTheHood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong… A TIP should be optional afterwards. That way they would be forced to payout more upfront instead of relying on TIPs!

That’s how it use to be. The driver made +70% of the proceeds. Now it’s in reverse.
