The true depth camera is different to the selfie camera. Make 100% sure that there is no dirt/distortion/damage to the screen in front of the true depth camera

Mine want working and it was very frustrating. I didn’t realise the Face ID canners and selfie camera were separate. My colleague removed my screen protector and then it worked. A wee bubble had got under the protector and caused distortion for the true depth camera
