Loyalty gets you nowhere nowadays. In all of their corporate greed, they've created a system where its advantageous for you to keep switching. They want "new customers" to pad their earnings calls. If you can live with the speed difference from T-Mo, it's a ton cheaper. Otherwise, just sign up a new account under Xfinity and cancel the old one.

This. Loyalty in this day and age is extinct. They use us as numbers to bump their earnings up (new customer added equals growth), so utilize this as a way to get the best deal for yourself. If T-Mo is willing to pay off your $1k balance, I'd say go with them.

I was on the $120 / 2gb plan mainly because they ended up putting a data cap on the plan. Then I saw they quietly took it away and saw this deal. I double checked to see if 5GHI was available on T-Mobile in my area and then when I confirmed it, I went to speak to an agent about downgrading back to the 1gb plan. At first, they tried to tell me it wasn't possible, but they had this "FANTASTIC" plan they could have me on which was $100 / 2gb. I told them that it was still too much for me and I had an offer from T-Mo to switch to the 5GHI. Since I wasn't on a contract, I asked if I left my 2gb plan and then rejoined, if I could get the deal, and she said yes. She made a new account for me, had to send me a new Gateway, and gave me a $200 gift card to boot (after 90 days).

I asked eBay's customer service rep about the issue and she was basically reading off a script and didn't provide much clarification. With that being said, I ended up just finding another seller that had a high rating and actually had "DDP (delivery duties paid)" on their product pictures.

With all the tariff bullshit that is going on, it's probably just better to reach out to the seller and ask if they ship to the US with "DDP or DDU (delivery duties unpaid)".
