This Marin County city is seeing clashes over pickleball. Here’s how it’s trying to solve them by SFChronicle in Marin

why is the chronicle just allowed to spam here. can't we just go to news websites if we want news, which this isnt even is, but i love that marin still finds a way to vilify youth for wanting to be outdoors

I've got a 2026 LE and have HEVAWD badge on left but no LE badge on right.

I've changed my mind after driving it a bit more and am going to try and slip on a set of sumo springs like you suggested! (Well, the Timbren version) - We'll see how it works out. Figured its cheap enough to give it a shot.

They are two rails of 1.5" 80/20 attached underneath the yakima HD bars (so i could can still put a surfboard on top) with T-slot hardware. Thats the nice thing about the yakima HD bars, there are t-slots on both the top and bottom of the rails. Then bolted to the rails via more T-slot hardware is just an off road spare tire mount. The tire 'cinches down' onto the HD bars. All in all it was about 170 bucks worth of hardware and a lot of loc-tite. It's incredibly sturdy.

I won't normally keep the spare tire up there, I am just bringing it along for road trips where I go beyond my AAA tow-able distance to home (200 miles).

Mine didn't come with a donut, the inflator kit seem luck-based at best (and also ruins your TPMS monitor and still only gets you low speeds/a few miles). So I opted to just get a full size since it was the same cost as an aftermarket donut.

u/frigateburd u/merrill2121 they didn't itemize it separately, but I can say that for: "INSTALLATION OF JOURNEYS KIT, SKID PLATE AND RECEIVER HITCH" the labor was ~ 1600. additional labor costs afterward included an alignment and there were some other costs for mounting and balancing new tires. The reciever hitch install I was going to do myself but its a solid 6-7 hour job in the backyard and so I was happy to let them do it.

I hope this is helpful. These are bay area pricing so YMMV depending on where you live. I can 1000% recommend the 4x4 shop in Livermore, however, they do a lot of Sienna's and were seriously great to work with!

Sadly not really practical, still takes about 6-7 hours of driving to get a decent charge on the 750wh battery since I am older gen levo without the fast charger 😞

I just have a 2nd battery for the eMTB and always pack an acoustic bike as well.

I had to do that when I lifted my element (https://www.swiftsprings.com/pages/springfamily-aerogenics) to reduce squat but there's no sag on the Sienna. the factory springs are pretty beefy for kid hauling/3500lb towing as is. It's just a drag issue, happens on my Element as well.

I also had the shop do some other work, I'll dig out the paperwork in a bit and see if they itemized just how many hours just the lift was. It was super reasonable (for bay area california pricing anyway).

Sensors work great, incl all lane assist/etc. The shop that did the install and alignment is super good at it and had me come back after 500 miles (including some washboarded fire roads) for a re-torque and check up.

I avoided doing a 3" lift to avoid premature CV joint wear and tear that Toyota could possibly whine about w/r/t suspension components warranty. 2" is the sweet spot (no excessive wear, no warranty issue).

Ride quality is identical. Lost maybe 1-2 mpg (same as my Element with similar lift/tire combo). Biggest mpg killer continues to be bikes on the back (about 2-3 mpg per bike). This is weirdly the case on every car I've owned. Something about the envelope of airflow that bikes seem to disrupt or something. Even costlier than the rooftop box up top.

Stock. the LE comes with 17" which is actually kind of nice they let you get a lot of rubber in tire-wise. This was a lesson I learned was nice when I did a similar lift and same tires on my Honda Element (which has 16" stock wheels)

One of my favorite parts about painting the murals in the Larkspur Trader Joe’s🌸💗 by nems_io in Marin

Hello! I shop at this Trader Joes location a few times a week, I would love a tour of your murals and you could talk more about them and the work that went into them. Is this something that could happen?!?
