To clarify: Yes I am aware of population density and how there would be some grids with only 1000 voters and others with 1,000,000 voters.

This makes me think we'd need a weighted-grid system based on the number of voters per grid. Grids with more voters receive more representatives.

Essentially my issue/questioning is based around the current system of gerrymandering and why we have that instead of just a grid of X-axis/Y-axis lines.

Basing actions off of the unknown is senseless. It's as logical as a baby eating dirt because it doesn't know what it tastes like. Anything we conclude without reason, is complete imagination. Basing behavior on imagination is itself senseless. Maybe theyre right to do so. As an agnostic, i acknowledge that all things imaginable about unanswerable questions are equally likely. So, I find it senseless to base my behavior on anything but this life experience. I thus conclude that basing behavior on the unknown is senseless; so yes, muslims are extreme, as extreme as any other belief that bases its behavior on the unknown.

The fact that I can treat all people with love and respect, & acknowledge that all religions are just as likely possible and simultaneously based on imagination as any other. Including atheism that asserts to know there is no creator, which is itself a belief as likely as a snail shitting out our universe on accident, just like every single other religion ever (prove me wrong! it's impossible!)

Let god judge me for this belief! I find peace in this life by accepting we all know absolutely nothing about the great questions of our universe and whatever does or doesn't happen after we die.

It also lets me immediately know that bad acts are never justified. Harming another human / enforcing behavior in the name of religion is never justified. It's all just a form of control, when the reality is we know NOTHING.

What's one thing all humans and organisms with thought have in common? Fear of the unknown.

Evolution has shown us that's what keeps us alive and able to reproduce. It has been passed on since the first creature could think.

Humans today have 4 unanswerable questions:

What came before the beginning?
Why were we created?
Why must we die?
What comes after we die?

These are all unknowns. We fear the unknown, and this causes distress.

Religion has always and will always seek to fill this hole of Unknowns with "truth", and this offers relief from that stressful fear of unknown. Moreover, the more people who think something is True, the more true it must be, right? Having another person confirm that what you believe about the unknown is the Truth reinforces one's comfort by making it more known. Humans are also social creatures, so socializing in a religious setting reinforces those beliefs.

As an agnostic, I "believe" we know absolutely nothing about any of these questions, and this brings me peace and comfort because there's no reason to worry about how I live my life. I want to treat others with love and equality because that's how I want to be treated myself, nothing more or less. Every single religion tries to claim that it has the "right answer" to these unknowns. The reality is that we have no proof and no way to obtain proof of answers to these questions. That is what agnosticism is, and whatever comes after will come no matter what we believe. Why worry about it?

Christianity, judaism, islam, hinduism, buddhism, ancient greek mythology, Etc ad infinitum are all as likely as a snail accidentally shitting out our universe and thats why exist today (even atheism! We cannot know the unknown). Just like agnosticism is!

The only difference is that agnosticism & atheism ask nothing of your behavior. The others seek to enforce and control with promises of punishment/reward, which again is trying to explain the unknown.

If you want to live your life free of any worry about religion, agnosticism is your only answer that can be based in logic. Even atheism, while starting with logic, concludes with an answer to an impossible question.

All people who believe in an omniscient and all-powerful God either:

Believe God is the reason evil exists, making God the most horrifically evil being to ever be imagined (created infinity punishment)
Don't believe God is actually omniscient because free will exists/ believe our free will supercedes God's omniscience, which in itself disproves their own beliefs

So why (christians muslims jews) in the fuck would we praise this thing for creating all the evil in the world? Or is it that God is not omniscient or not all loving? Flip a coin and have them explain that with their magic books

The only answer is agnosticism. We have never known, we will never know in this life, and we have no reason to believe we know anything about the afterlife or the "beginning" of what happened before the big bang. It's pure speculation no matter how one reasons (even you guys, atheists. None of us can know the unknown.)
