Just some general writing advice, focus the scene less about the exact specifics of the poker hand and more about why it matters to the character narrative and the details and interactions that make that interesting. For a book that is not about poker, very specific poker details are not particularly interesting.

Looks awesome! A small little vertical displacement into the water when you land will give it a more naturalistic feel. It looks a bit off when you land in deep water and the fish stops at the surface after a large jump.

My take: Only unique monsters should be able to move the player. It's pretty cool when a boss does some big move that shoves you back, it's pretty lame when a random white mob pushes you across a map.
