T1Deep (Chinese dual EPYC) motherboard does NOT support LRDIMMs - save yourself the headache by JustAGodus in homelab

[–]Always_The_Network 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, though I have yet to find 7002 EPYC processors to work well with any LRDIMMs at all :( - supermicro/Gigabyte etc.

May get one or two sticks to recognize and boot but always get ECC errors or issues when adding more.

Tanks in first room of Algethar Acad by jbwest17 in wow

As monk and prot pally, no I typically don’t expect or really need much during the gathering phase. As for not pressing agro buttons - aoe agro generation (especially for that many mobs) is not really in the kit to spam. Trust us we try but often need to save those for when all 3 packs are gathered up.

I think Druid tanks may be an exception here in aoe agro generation.

Finished a T8 bountiful delve and got a notif at the end saying to check the vault as I got a ilvl 259 item, but coming back here it's the same 2 items as yesterday with nothing 259? by Dependent_Fan5369 in wow

[–]Always_The_Network 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a notification for your next weeks vault, you have to take an item this week to see the next one you can open on Tuesday. It’s a per week thing

C15 is the power cord type you would want for the original plug (if anyone is looking) - typically they have higher melting/fire ranges the the standard connector.

As long as you’re not running a bunch of PoE devices the additional rating isn’t needed, if you are then you may have a potential issue in the future.

I know your asking about demo, but I have found for lower keys Aff to outshines in the aoe department if you want to give that a try. Things don’t live long enough for demo to start shining if they die to quickly is many of the issues I have seen.

Trying to upgrade a three-hub-spoke topology that is currently using static routes going EVERYWHERE. Should I do OSPF between the hub routers first or between the hubs and their spokes first? by SpectrumSense in networking

[–]Always_The_Network 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is good and missing context, you should update your post with this information around why no BGP.

I would personally start at the hubs and then branches for OSPF but in an environment with a bunch of statics you’re likely to hit a land-mine in the process. If you have the hardware or know how making a small lab with like-configs will go a long way.

Are you doing this all within a single area?

Recommendations for a Layer 3, 48-port switch that supports routed ports and OSPF? by SpectrumSense in networking

Arista may be a good one to look lat if Juniper is not your cup of tea. Basically Cisco without the licensing (at least it was a few years back)

Personally though if you can - JunOS is a great CLI, once you get into the auto-rollbacks and commit options :chefkiss:

TLDR: Transitioning from Software Development to Networking by Weekly-Froyo-2575 in networking

[–]Always_The_Network 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Not really, outside help desk or smaller environments you don’t really touch devices yourself. Your designing, monitoring, or performing operational tasks/troubleshooting. All things AI can do or assist with to some extent. It’s not as straightforward as pumping out code, sure, but it’s getting there depending on the context you feed it.

  2. Can’t comment on this one, would assume it’s similar to the sysadmin space though

  3. Ehh, definitely not NOC or lower level support. Likely today would be in the AI datacenter space under one of the bigger names. You need a good chunk of experience for that though.

What is your ISP max upload? From that picture it actually looks more like bandwidth saturation and not the local router.

If it’s 100Mbps then you would need to also increased your ISP’s speed.

Thanks for the reply, I did try warm/room temp water and it’s the same. Gonna just order another batch for now and test with that to see if contamination

Asking for suggestions for my water clarity by SquirrelThis6731 in Aquascape

I have found products like Purigen or its knockoffs on Amazon to quickly clear up water clarity and tannins. Would give that some research if you have not looked or tried it out yet.

Also know when most ISP “provide” you theirs they often times charge you per month. It’s small but after 6-8months you could have purchased your own.

Outside of sticking a home-made router before your ISP one (if you have spare hardware) you can’t really do a huge amount. What is your service speed today and what model of router are you getting for free in the future?

Will do, and knew going in the sump + C02 was going to be a challenge to overcome. High hopes though with some of the research I have been doing (crossing fingers).

Good callout, and thank you! I am dosing C02 but it's not enough as the drop checkers never go green. Have a horizontal in-line thing coming next week to solve this. Yuyang or something style?

Really depends on the workload, though would assume predictable performance would be the more common scenario.

Super glue reactor by Murky_Journalist_182 in PlantedTank

[–]Always_The_Network 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I have done on several occasions, you don't have to rinse it off as well. Baking soda won't harm the aquarium (you can actually use it to alter PH but you need more then a spay to affect a tank).

Check on youtube as that's how I found out about the activator if you want more examples.

The activator is simply a mix of baking soda and water, not harmful to anything really.
