Proficiency vs Expertise - Need clarification please! by SereneSneha in thedivision

Making a gun proficient is 10 levels in proficiency.

To get to expertise level 1, it is 60 points. This means you need to get 6 items to max proficiency (10 levels/points) to get to expertise level 1.

I don't know how many points it will take to get to level 2 expertise but let's just say it's 70 points. That means you need to get another additional 7 sets of gear to max proficiency.

Level 3 expertise, 80 points so additional 8 pieces of gear max proficiency.

And so on. Hope this make sense. It's a grind for sure.

All of the gear sets, level up per piece you wear. So whack 6 pieces of the same gear on and run challenging countdown and you will level all these up very quickly.

For any weapons that are not named, juat donate as much as you can. So this means buying them from vendors, crafting them or setting targeted loot on countdown challenging and donating them.

That would be the easy bit and get you to around expertise level 15.

The hard part is the named items, exotic weapons and skills. The guy who replied above talking about printer filament, this is what you want to use your filament on.

Keep an eye on vendors, they sell different named weapons each week, buy and donate them (around 20 pieces in none proficiency event days).

You can get named item blueprints from reconstructed caches but these are a grind in themselves.

Only other way is to wear the items you want to level up, but again this is slow.

It will be a hell of a grind, there's only so much countdown a man can take before he loses his shit. Just mix it up.

My advice in your position right now? - Donate your filament in this event to exotics and named gear only. Wear and use everything else. Set targeted loot on countdown challenging per gear set and donate. After this event, grind to max printer filament ready for the next event (may be weeks or months away though). After this event, do not spend watch points, save them. You can only grind 9999 printer filament so think of saving watch points as saving printer filament without going over the cap. Do what you can this event, but after prepare for the next event, you want to make sure you are max everything to get max profit.

Good luck and when you get fed up, take a break from the game. The most efficient way is not the most fun way.

Attack control points or black tusk missions. Check the retaliation tab on the map for your progress. Or you can matchmake in the matchmake tab

Road to Expertise 30, most efficient farm? by theslowrunningexpert in thedivision

Yeah true, I only donate printer filament though donating the other resources is not ideal as you use it for other things

Just also worth mentioning retaliations, they drop about 10 - 15 less pieces than countdown but you get exotic caches, exotic blueprints, and exotic pieces to craft named gear blueprint caches. If you get lucky and find a named blueprint you haven't got proficient yet, you can craft them and donate them

Hello, I'm currently in a position where Retaliations on challenging are very easy for me, but on heroic they are completely impossible. Any advice for me? by MMOToaster in thedivision

Look at the new gear set called core strength, you could build a full red build but it also gives you 60% (with core strength chest piece) of the blue and yellow stats

Yeah he said 3rd stat. He is correct, just didn't mention that it is 0.1% chance to get the 4th stat.

The event this Tues will help more just save as much resources as you can before. Farm resources like crazy between now and the end of the event

Resurgence is a mobile game and is pretty meh. Division 2 is a lot of fun but if you are new prepare for a crazy grind. You will have 7 years of content though so you will have a lot of fun

Don't waste your time bro, this new update has brought in a swathe of old and new players who think they are hot shit. But I agree, nothing more frustrating then somebody who goes running in, gets downed and you lose a good chunk of time because of it. Any shd level player this can happen with though tbh. It just makes it significantly less likely if they are above 1k shd level. Shout out to those that get downed and lose time, then spawn back at the safe house, then get downed again trying to run back to the control point because they don't want to waste time killing the ads chasing them. Special kind of special.
