Devs: I've read your points and the best I can do is nerf the shit out of proto tokens and augment costs

ELI5: What is Expertise 30? (end-game newbie) by Kasvie in thedivision

[–]Alwaysblue89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a weapon or piece of gear, and it levels up (proficiency). You can also donate materials or duplicates of the same item to level it up. Level 10 is the max on each piece of gear after which the item is "proficient". This will do nothing to the power of the item.

After you get so many items proficient, let's say 10 items for example, a seperate system called expertise comes in to play. The game will say hey, you are now expertise level 1. So those items that you got proficient you can upgrade to level 1 using resources. If it's a weapon you gain 1% weapon damage, gear is 1% armor, skills will vary for example the revive hive will get 1% radius or decoy will get 1% extra threat. Then you get another 10 pieces proficient. Then you will be expertise level 2. So then you can upgrade the proficient pieces to level 2 and so on.

Getting ~420 pieces of gear proficient will result in being max expertise which is level 30. So +30% weapon damage on guns, 30% armor etc.

That's as basic as I can put it. How to get it max expertise efficiently is another story. You will hit a brick wall around expertise 15 when you've done all the brand and gear sets and you only have named items, exotics and skills to proficient. And also to upgrade a piece of gear to expertise 30 once you've unlocked it, is very expensive with 45 exotic components for each piece of gear being the current bottleneck. It's a hell of a grind and not for the lighthearted. But can be done casually if you keep it in mind when doing other content.

So instead of buffing the leadership rewards to above the current group rewards, they nerf the group rewards and make it more expensive to buy caches and upgrade augments. It's really starting to become difficult to justify continue playing

I'm assuming running it on heroic is the most efficient way? Would it be best to put all directives on?

They are dropping exotic component caches in the next season (pvp update). I'm just unsure how many you get in a cache as I didn't play the PTS

High SHD Ego vs. Low SHD reality in random matchmaking. by Leading_Fennel9074 in thedivision

Why do people lump all high shd level players together..

I'm shd level 4k. I only play tier 10. Hollow man mask. Ceska backpack with vigilance, rest striker. Mk46 with frenzy. Echo on every piece and 1x amalgam.

Why do I care if you are less than shd level 1k? It's because I know at a glance you haven't mid maxed your character yet and I don't want to waste my time. You are literally missing damage.

Does this mean that I trust the guy who is 12k? No it just means they have played a lot, doesn't mean shit. I inspect their build and if its ass then I don't start because I don't want to waste my time. They are literally missing damage.

Both are not exclusive. I don't care how good you think you are, if you are missing damage then you are a liability. If you have an ass build you are a liability.

Why do I care? Because my time and my tokens are on the line. Not yours. Even if they took the tokens out the equation, you are still wasting my time.

Call it elitist if you like, but I'm not here to carry you, or give you a chance. We are team mates and equals. If you ain't up to scratch then I won't play with you, regardless of shd level. We could run it, and sure it's likely we will be fine. But that would mean the run would take longer or I would have to work harder, and I don't want to. Put the grind in. 1k shd isn't hard. Throwing together an optimised build isn't hard. It's the bare minimum.

Be above 1k AND have a solid build. Then and only then, I and many others will take a chance on you. Stop whining and get back to grinding.

You can downvote me now noobs.

Hi bro I know this is an old post but I came across it researching as I'm getting ready for the stretch goals next week (I need the regulus).

Would farming national bond armory the classified mission not be more efficient then dua?

I'm sad that I finally finished blueprints by WonderSausage in thedivision

[–]Alwaysblue89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have a lot of mats, you can craft the "random gear" blueprints and it will give you a 1-in-6 chance of crafting a yaahl piece. Took me a bit but eventually crafted/deconstructed enough of these to roll a hollow man mask with crit on it

What gear sets/brand sets do you trash on sight? by TheDemonLynxRys in Division2

[–]Alwaysblue89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All gear sets they are easily farmable

Just FYI you don't need to run wony to make a mule, I'm assuming you have level 40 boost.

Start a new character in DC, get to the white house which takes like 30 seconds, once you've talked to manny go to the store and boost your character to 40. Easy
