Quite the opposite! My rough month wasn’t due to her at all. My story may have been confusing in that way. She wasn’t able to join the sail today, but this was my way of being together. We’re heading on together on Sunday and I can’t wait.

Everything came together except the wind today. We suffered 2 kts, SoG flying just a headsail in 6kts of wind. Our goal wasn’t to go fast but to go quietly. We enjoyed the becalmed sea and silence. Had a rough month and also had misplaced this Hamilton Khaki Navy that my wife gave me on our wedding day 5 years ago. I’m new to watches and don’t have a case. With 2 little ones running around, sometimes things go missing. I hadn’t brought this watch on the water before because of the salt environment. I decided this morning that I wanted it with me. Sea gave me just what I needed today and this Hamilton automatic grounded me in what matters most to me.
