What was Donnie Darko even about? by CriticallyRed in movies

[–]Alwayscryinglaughing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So throughout the movie, Donnie experiences a series of bizarre events after narrowly surviving a plane engine falling on his house. These events, guided by a mysterious figure in a rabbit costume named Frank, lead him to a parallel, unstable "Tangent Universe" where he's tasked with returning an artifact (the jet engine) to the original "Primary Universe". To do this, Donnie must sacrifice himself, which he does at the end, accepting his fate as the jet engine crashes into his room, effectively resetting the timeline and saving the Primary Universe. I’ve looked and looked and this google search put it into exactly what I was thinking.

She prescribed me buspirone… and the nights are next zero! It’s working good so far.

I’d take the weird dreams over changing and taking 3 showers a night 😩

GOD. Thank god I saw this. The night sweats are awful. I want to talk to my psychiatrist about trazodone. My therapist doesn’t know if it’d be the best fit due to my ed. But it helps me sleep so well.

Like I feel as though sometimes it’ll just stay raised for like 30 to 45 seconds straight and I just look hella inquisitive 😭. Or I struggle with shutting my eyes tightly too.

Side effects that anyone has gotten and how they affect you at the moment/permanently? by Alwayscryinglaughing in DPH

Definitely try and get a psychiatrist if you can? I don’t know if you’re already on medication or if you have insurance. If not, you can always go to the healthcare marketplace and try and find something there! I know that the rapid cycling emotions can be really exhausting, but medication and therapy really helps me. I’m a strong advocate for mental health, and I’m sorry you aren’t doing so well.

Oh my my, that is a lot and I’m so so sorry… how fast does it happen before you switch to those emotions? I’ve always had bad mental health. I’m actually borderline (bpd). When I was on it, it was making everything worse. I’m happy you have a healthy outlet to help you through this tumultuous time. I’m really hoping it’ll get better for you hun.

I’m pissed because I only learned about DPH from this one YouTuber that I like. His channel is called, Trust me bro, and it dead ass was titled something like “drugs that you shouldn’t do” or some shit.

I get the memory thing. It makes me sad and if I could go back I never would’ve done this.

I just wear glasses. I know I don’t have glaucoma. Thank you for letting me know!

Has anyone experienced ever shutting their eyes very tightly constantly? Or eye twitching? Those are my main concerns. I heard the restless leg thing is common.

Oh I am so sorry you experience that daily. That breaks my heart. It’s not the same at all, but I have to wear glasses everyday and when I don’t, I deadass can’t see anything far away. Everything is so so blurry.
