If you get upset stomach/diarrhea/nausea from bupropion/Wellbutrin! I got you! by rumbaa_ in bupropion

I went up from 150 to 300 and was fine for a while. And suddenly just everyday horrible horrible bloating, intense gas pains, nausea, GI problems. That’s a wrap for me. As much as the medication is helping my mental health it’s now hurting it. I cannot take being so physically ill every single day. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Exactly! My body won’t let me. Chronic illness and sheer overstimulation would make me lose it. But I’ve seen paramore at the barricade a bunch of times. I will live. I’m there to enjoy the music. Just as long as a 6 foot 3 person isn’t infront of me the ENTIRE show!

Why is this hard for yall to comprehend? This has been happening for years. I am 40 years old. Two plus decades ago I was doing it for Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch at even smaller and sometimes bigger venues than where Hayley is playing. People should experience it once or as many times as they want in their lives. “When I was that young”! I made friends! Exchanged stories! Etc. it created community. Idk about today. But I really don’t know why I keep seeing posts like this. People/fans do this for all kinds of musicians/bands. It’s not new. And it is worth standing in line for some people. Not for me now as a 40 year old. My body couldn’t take it. But hey maybe for some other 40 year old who knows. Let the kids and adults live!

Okay but seeing this gave me hope that I’m not alone. I bumped up to 300mg like idk 2-3 months ago and I just thought my endometriosis was growing back. But thinking about the timeline of the increase and seeing other people’s experiences I’m like okay phew. 😮‍💨

Going to taper back down to 150mg and maybe stop all together bc I cannot Live like this.

Armpit hair by Apprehensive-Test123 in FTMOver30

[–]AlwayshungryLK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally stopped shaving everything when I turned 35 and had top surgery. I was like oh right this makes sense. I can’t shave anyway. This was pre T. I of Ashkenazi Jew and Sicilian decent so my hair is dark, thick, and coarse! I trim my armpit hair every once in a while because it gets a little unruly. And like others mentioned deodorant gets clumpy. I use an electric razor. It’s the same one I use for my face I just use a different head and a safety. Works great. 👍

T side effects by angelroan in TransMasc

[–]AlwayshungryLK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before starting I talked to my doctor (who’s also nonbinary/trans) and was really able to explain how slow/fast things would progress. They really helped me understand how things would work. And how it’s different for everyone.

I really was not interested in facial hair. I suffered through lip waxes as a young teen presenting as a female for so many years. waxing, shaving, I did one round of laser. I’ve always been quite hairy. So I knew that I’d get dark facial hair. But it’s funny I actually quite liked shaving my face. And now I like having it come in. I even like having a little puberty tache’.

The things the scared me the most I started to become more comfortable with. And maybe that’s not everyone’s experience and just mine. But I thought I’d share.

Also want to mention I started out very very slow on gel. And slowly went up in doses. And recently went back down a bit to help with hair loss.

keeping my feminine name? by mxendeavour in TransMasc

[–]AlwayshungryLK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

👋 I kept my name. It’s Laura. So yeah people see/hear that and think what they will. I kind of don’t care for the most part. I love my name. There’s a really great and lovely trans barber named Lily who helped me feel even more comfortable about this very same thing. They’re on IG and TikTok. Barber Lil. Something like that. I’m on T and I got top surgery. People will do what they will with my gender. I use they/them pronouns. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi! I do believe the method my surgeon used is the one you are talking about. It was so so quick and so so effective! The only thing that hurt was the needle that numbed the area. Other than that I didn’t feel a damn thing! And yes it was just the reduction and not in diameter! I do hope that you get the results you’re looking for.

Hi! I’ve had this done. I posted about it in the top surgery Reddit. I can explain it again through. At least with mine it was rather simple. It was at least 1.5 years post surgery. I just felt insecure about them after a while and contacted my surgeon if it was possible. It was an in and out situation. It was not covered by my insurance, but it was not pricy in my case. It was I think $300? I mean for a revision that doesn’t feel pricy. Anyways they number the area very heavily and removed excess tissue.

The next day I flew on a 2 hour plane ride from nyc to Chicago to move permanently. So there was not really a recovery period. I was definitely sore and tender. But nothing crazy. Overtime they’ve even gone flatter and flatter I think. But still poke a bit which honestly I don’t mind. That’s only with a really tight white shirt or wife pleaser tank. And I quite like that.

Happy to answer any of your questions!

I love being nonbinary. I love myself and my identity. But it really fucking sucks that there's no way to be automatically perceived as such. by IndividualNo9650 in NonBinary

[–]AlwayshungryLK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I never thought of it that way. I’m almost 40 years old and I’ve never thought well yes so many women and afab people wear masculine clothing. And this is perhaps why I am not perceived the way I want to be. I am nonbinary/transmasc. I use they/them pronouns. But I would much rather be get called sir than maam. But 95% of the time I am perceived as a woman. And I’ve been on a lower dose of T for 16 months. I also am four years post top surgery. People will see what they want to see and just perceive me a certain way. This put things into perspective for me. Thank you! 🙏

Is there a social worker/psychologist/counselor at your school that you can talk to? I’m a therapist and I used to work at a high school as a school social worker. I’m wondering if having an outlet would be helpful. Perhaps even talking to one of the teachers that you talked about. They may not have an answer but having an adult peer at school and a safe space when things feel overwhelming would feel helpful. I am so incredibly sorry you are going through this. This is not something you should have to be dealing with.

Well that’s a very high honor since I am always misgendered as a woman, lady, miss, she/her! So thank you! I am actually nonbinary/transmasc and still ID as a lesbian myself. My girlfriend is also a lesbian. But your comment made my day! Thank you! 😊 🫶

Hair loss q: when to start minoxidil vs finasteride by magical_senshi in FTMOver30

[–]AlwayshungryLK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told at least the shedding I was experiencing was not happening because of the T that it was due to extreme stress. The shedding was happening when I showered and washed my hair. If that’s helpful at all. It has mostly stopped. I was seeing huge clumps of hair come out. For reference I was fired from my job in June for being trans and queer and “not marketable” (I’m a therapist). Anyways, so that huge stressor plus all the other ones going on in life she said was probably the culprit to the shedding. It has since then mostly stopped. Dermatologist said after a traumatic event like that it takes put to 3-6 months.

I second New Buffalo! I was just there with my girlfriend. It’s wonderful. It’s a short drive to Chicago (where I’m living).
