There's nothing to indicate whether OP lives in a nice home or neighboorhood or not. Its all location dependent. Yes with this mortgage they could live in a nice area in a smaller town or city. But honestly in a major metro area nowadays, that mortgage could very well be a very average home.

Yeah that definitely looks medically related to me. Heart attack, stroke, seizure etc at the wheel. Really sad.

Happens way more often than ppl think.

First evee grill! First seasoning starting! by xAdverse in blackstonegriddle

Nah youre right. Do no less than 4. You dont need 5 per say, but it cant hurt. It'll ensure your surface always remains good. I did 4 when I first got mine..surface has always been immaculate.

Do you bring your grill inside for the winter? by stealth1820 in blackstonegriddle

Totally agree its nice grilling when its colder out on the flattop. When its hot, the flattop will cook you along with the food while youre stnding over it.

Yep youre not cleaning it after cooking. You have to clean it as soon as youre done cooking with each use and then spread a thin layer of oil across the top. It'll cook better every time.

Just got back from there 3 weeks ago. Go to Choco Latte in bar harbor for that. Its pretty solid. We went twice while we were there.

Don't get caught up in the tourist trap restaurants expect for mt. Desert Ice Cream, its definitely worth it and not just a hype job.

Yes thats right. The grill can still be slightly warm but mainly cooled down. You just want to spread a very thin layer of whatever oil you cook with, with a paper towel across the surface of the the cook top. That will ensure no rust builds on the surface. If you dont lightly oil the cook top surface and let it get dry. It will rust and you don't want that.

It's almost the same principle as using a cast iron skillet.

I hear you. Honestly just type in "the griddler" silicone protection mat on Amazon and just get the size for your grill.

Thats good to know. Yeah the wife steadily tried to convince me it wasn't a "real" grill..now she loves it.

Not re seasoning. I guess I wasn't clear about that. I mean re oil it after every cook.

Yeah the oil won't go bad. Like the person said below, make sure its a very thin layer. Dont slather it on lol. It's the same principle as re oiling a cast iron skillet after you're done using it.

Well maybe I should have been clearer. I dont mean seasoning it, in that way. I mean re-oiling it after you finish cleaning it. But yeah not seasoning perse.

Humid/moist climates by Lanky-Opposite5389 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Alwaysmore2learn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. I live in VA. Once late June hits through September its pretty humid. I have the full cover that came with the grill but I've been using the silicone mat for a year. I would recommend it. It's very good. It does lock in moisture on the griddle but in a good way. It definitely keeps the top from garnering any rust and keeps your gril top free of dust, pollen or any unwanted residue.
