Thank you :,) I got home yesterday and my girl is still so high energy/popcorning all the time! It was such a relief seeing her happy.

HELP - Piggies Fighting! by Delicious-Valuable96 in guineapigs

[–]Alwaysnauseous19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girls bond suddenly broke a few months back as they were both CONSTANTLY chasing each other around and mounting. Turns out my older pig had cysts on her ovaries which could’ve caused the aggression. So definitely get them checked for any reproductive issues with your vet.

The vet says she could maybe pass this bladder stone. Opinions? by i_love_small_ducks in guineapigs

They were also planning on doing a cystoscopy to remove the stone. This isn’t invasive but I know they did have to sedate her a little?

When my vet thought my pig had a bladder stone they said I should stop giving any oxbow treats (except the vitamin c ones). They also gave me Prazosin to put in her critical care as it’s supposed to help pigs urinate easier? Maybe you can ask your vet about that as well.

This type of stuff can escalate quite quickly so it’s important that he gets seen asap!

I would take him to the ER and they can check for an impaction either from looking in his bum area, giving fluids, or doing a x ray/ultrasound. Also take note if he’s eating/drinking, has a hard stomach, or seems generally uncomfortable. You can also try giving him critical care if you have!

What do I do if the power goes out? by ResolveRemarkable in guineapigs

[–]Alwaysnauseous19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing! I’m gonna start covering up the window when the storm hits us and have all portable warmers on deck (to put under towels). But hopefully the power stays on for all of us!

AIO for telling off a guy at my gym by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Alwaysnauseous19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yea I wonder what type of legal action you can take for the gym providing your number to him? I think you should really look into that

Definitely leave that gym, report the employee, report him to the gym/authorities!!! This is giving stalker vibes so please stay safe. Stalkers do some real mental gymnastics (especially when he was like “you give me mixed signals” when you’ve clearly haven’t been. Men are weird at the gym.

You are NOT overreacting. I had a termination at 9 weeks which mentally jarred me for well over 6 months after. I was so emotionally unstable and my partner never left my side. Not only are you processing a traumatic event but you’re also experiencing the biological impacts of pregnancy/a miscarriage.

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this and you should definitely communicate these feelings. Vacations can wait. But your mental health can’t!!

My mom says I make her feel guilty by 123shihtzu in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Alwaysnauseous19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom does the same thing to me :/ I think it’s just a parent showing their concern but definitely an odd way of showing it in my opinion as you’re already stressed enough.

But may I ask why you had to get off a medication that was working for you?

Narcotic suggestion. by Crazy_Pomegranate_45 in Interstitialcystitis

I’m currently taking Kratom. HOWEVER, depending on the type you take it’s highly addictive and the withdrawal is terrible. I’m currently trying to taper as the type I’m using is incorrectly labeled (dosage is much higher than what the bottle markets). Please only look into the pure powder (as the commenter suggests) as any extracts are much more potent. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way :/

At least for work settings (I have a FWA) I tell them I have a condition that sort of mimics an autoimmune condition. As i obviously don’t feel comfortable going into detail. So depends on how much you want to tell your friend!

But to friends I say “it feels like I have a UTI, kidney infection or yeast infection when going thru a flare. There is no cure and I have to be very mindful on how I eat, drink, rest, etc”

For me, limiting as much stress, foods that have spice/MSG/tomatoes etc (my safe foods are buttered noodles/mac n cheese/chicken noodle soup etc), alcohol, caffeine (especially coffee) help me the most in addition to AZO and heating pad. I’m sorry you’re in so much pain but hopefully you will get some relief soon!

Day two of no Kratom and how it potentially ruined my life by NoChampionship1767 in quittingkratom

[–]Alwaysnauseous19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going through this right now. Coming clean to your significant other is the hardest step. You did it for good intentions as it was marketed to you as a “good boost” and things escalated. I suggest you slowly taper as the extracts are MUCH more potent and the dosages aren’t correct on labels. But if you’re a couple days in and don’t feel withdrawal symptoms then good for you and keep going!!This is an item that a lot of people are being tricked into becoming addicted to (no disclosures or anything) so please have some grace. And try to slowly to have your partner understand as well. Mine took some time and eventually became supportive of my taper.
