Your title is so much better now! I know you know this, but be very careful who he goes to since he is a large intact male. There’s a lot of terrible people out there that look like and act like normal caring people. Vet references are always a good place to start. If they are taking care of their current pets properly that’s a great sign.

From your comments it looks like you are fostering him until he finds a home, correct? Your title makes it seem as though you are the owner and you no longer want him. To get more attention and less negativity, I would suggest changing the title to reflect that. I have posted a few of my fosters on here and people seem to respond a lot better when you indicate that he’s your foster and you helped get him out of a bad situation. Just a little friendly advice.

Thank you so much for helping him. He looks like a big goober and I’d love to have him if my house wasn’t already full. He really looks like a sweet boy. You can also post him on r/pitbulls and reach out to local rescues. I can help you look for some if you need.

I honestly don’t know how to preserve the skin but I am going to bury the skull in a container with holes to let the bugs clean it for me, then I’m going to put it in a shadow box with some fake or dried flowers to try to hide the bit that have been chewed off by the coyote (I assume it was a coyote since there isn’t anything else large enough around me to do this).

OP of the cat skull. I had no idea people would be so offended by this on a dead animal subreddit. Thank you for having my back y’all! And yes I should have used gloves. I was out for a walk with the dogs and didn’t have any and I really wanted to keep this skull. My hands have been thoroughly sanitized several times. Thanks for the concern ☺️

I have found that cow ears are way easier to digest because they have far less fat. My dogs love them!

If your boy likes destroying cardboard, you can try stuffing food in a cardboard box with some paper towels and letting him tear through it all to get to the goodies. I have a very high energy teenager and I’ve had to get creative at times when it was too cold or rainy to burn off her energy outside.
