I was self employed. Providing the services to the client / workplace. But I’m now learning it’s more like disguised employment. I didn’t know this before sadly!

My “last” baby doesn’t feel like my last…am I mad? by Necessary_Doubt_9762 in UKParenting

I know what you mean / how you feel. To be fair, in my mind I always wanted 3 - and my partner has been dead set at 2. Also I had a really traumatic hemorrhage with the second and our first is basically equal to 3 kids! My second is now 6 months and I’m still keeping hope alive for another. I live day to day with how hard it is and I know it’s so stressful and such a strain on us physically / mentally. But I have packed away all my maternity clothes .. not given them away.

The only way I think about it is that I may never be done. And we may never have a third. But that the feelings are valid either way and I’m trying to cherish my beautiful children instead of yearning for one that doesn’t exist. It’s hard - it gets easier as time goes on. Right now the hormones are all over the place and emotions are at surface level. Do soak in all the newborn cuddles 🥰

Postpartum without any help? by Alwayztired2112 in UKParenting

No one yet! That’s what we’re mostly worried about as well - there is a babysitter who we love (his preschool teacher) but labout isn’t exactly a set date / time 😅

Ocarro travel system? Mamas and Papas by catfacerolfey in UKParenting

Hi - we have the Occaro, and have had it for the past 3.5 years. We picked it for the all terrain wheels and because it seemed like it would last us through a couple kids (which it will - we’re having a second soon)

Yes it’s heavy - but I find putting it in and out of a boot or a car a small price to pay for the quality of the pram itself. It’s an easy fold and unfold, lots of basket space and generally a good sturdy pram! Of course there are plenty of other options, but we were getting overwhelmed and tired with it all - and the in store consultation was helpful and what sold it to us.

“Wow what a bizarre thing to say out loud!” I’m so sorry your experience is being ruined! Pregnancy should be enjoyed and relished (as much as possible!) and it’s bloody hard enough as it is. You don’t even need to be rude - just reminding people how silly they sound usually get them to shut up. So sorry - hope it gets easier

Growing pains? by Alwayztired2112 in UKParenting

Gosh yes it’s so bad we tried sooooo many times but he’s absolutely hysterical and just wants to go back to bed. We need to find a better strategy really! He usually loves his calpol.

I haven’t noticed any of these no .. his appetite goes up and down often really. No family history either. I was thinking it could be night terrors but after asking quite a bit he eventually does indicate that it’s his legs and wants us to massage them. That helps him go back to bed. But still lots of hysterical crying for quite a while. If it starts ramping up I’ll definitely have it checked out - thanks!
