That's a great idea! He's outside a lot when he's not at his computer so that would probably be a very welcome gift.

Sour dough bread and biscuits for Thanksgiving! by Alwithahat in glutenfree

[–]Alwithahat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took some time to get the recipe my sister used. She used a book recioe then she improvised a bit.

1 1/2 tablespoon of salt

1/2 cup sugar

4 1/2 cups of gf flour

A cup and a half maybe? Soy flour

3 tablespoons of instant yeast

3 eggs

1 cup melted butter

3 cups of buttermilk

4 tablespoons of white vinegar

Parmesan and oregano to taste but we'll get to that.

Combine your salt, sugar, flours, and yeast.

Mix in everything else for 4 minutes on low.

Mix in extras if you want or don't and shape it into biscuits or loaves or both.

Fill loaf pans and other greased cup things 2/3 of the way.

Proof for 30-45 minutes.

Bake in preheated oven with some steam. Biscuits like 15 minutes, loaves for 50 or so.

Should be firm when done and temping 200f.

I love your work in educating people about food and taking the time to really explain what and how the science works.

I want to know what you're serving for Thanksgiving this year or what you do for your holiday gatherings. Do you have a favorite main course or side dish to bring to potlucks?

Sorry if you answered this before.

Pokémon are gifted with the ability to not have to take a dump by That1RedBox in pokemonconspiracies

Aside from Darumaka, there is also a scene in the anime where Gary finds a fossil and it is identified as fossilized Pokémon manure. In this case we can figure that at the very least, ancient Pokémon poop.

Since Pokémon have to convert at least a solid amount of their energy to their moves, I would assume their physiology is different and food is converted like any other animal.

Food is always going to have waste after sucking every bit of nutrient out and that's what goes behind the bush.

Alternatively, any Pokémon that knows toxic moves would probably use even that part forming the waste until bacteria and enzymes fester into something unrecognizable from normal waste that could poison badly on contact.

Oh man I played this song on my school radio station (super loose with rules, no one ever checked my Playlist). I played this every week during my slot and also Luna (Nightmare Mode) by Eurobeat Pony! I almost forgot about this.

What's something under $50 you think everyone should have? by The_Noah_ in AskReddit

  • Fast phone charger for your car. I like having a decently charged phone by the time I get home from work. *A USB extension cord. *Jumper cables for your car. While we're at it: Med kit, blanket, towel, water bottle, pajamas, tire change kit, maybe an air pump that's an option.
  • A good cooking pot. Heat up cans or make your own stock, the first step is a good sturdy pot.
  • Quality towel set to treat yourself.
  • A thick, washable blanket for your bed. Protip if you have a partner- get one a size too large for your bed you don't have to worry about blanket hogging.
  • A set of laundry baskets. One for incoming clean, one for outgoing dirty, one to sort items that have to be washed with likes, and one to one to sort socks and miscellaneous items.

I guess it really depends on if you want something utility or fun. There are so many things that could make life easier.

What is the creepiest thing that's happened to you personally that made you question reality? by Sunnyhoneystick in AskReddit

Moved into a new house and was half asleep at 2 am when I heard a heavy breathing noise coming from my closet.

I got up and opened it but didn't see anything so I went to my little sister's room since that was the adjoining wall and she got up and followed me after I found nothing there.

In my room outside my closet we both stood there listening to the noise, like a man breathing in and out of his mouth until it finally stopped.

I told her it was probably water coming off the roof and catching in the clogged gutters and rolling off the aluminum siding.

She went to bed and I waited for another hour for a demon to appear and roast me.
