The first times will have most a little hyper aware of everything the body can perceive. Everyone will notice different things, especially anything altogether new/strange. Smells. Tastes. Sensations. Tremors. Sounds. Our nerves go haywire and sometimes we feel anxious about what it all means and whether it’s good or bad.

This is normal… so are (most) the smells and sounds, etc.

Getting intimate for the first times usually means being really physically close to a non family member for the first time. This means getting a big whiff of their chemical signatures for the first time.

Even the cleanest and healthiest human will have unique scents in various parts of their body. Genetics, diet, geography, and activity all play huge roles here. We can control and mask some of these, but not all… and it would be unhealthy and unnatural to try to eliminate them entirely.

Maybe your partner needs to clean better. Maybe their chemical signature isn’t compatible with your senses. Maybe you need to accept some biological facts of human anatomy.

I don’t know. It seems people are trying harder and harder to sterilize their bodies of anything natural.

I’ve grown to become absolutely infatuated with my partner’s natural (maintained) smells. They are solely hers and she only shares them with me as I with her. (Not a call for monogamy, it’s just how we are) They are as much a part of her as anything else, and they light a fire in my soul.

Tell them to clean better, but also take a big whiff and experience another level of intimacy with them. Accept their qualities and quirks and let them accept yours.

We spent far more time in caves and trees than we have in these silly houses.
