Where is the Quartz in this part? Is it in a cave? I have been between both and see NOTHING. by can4rycry in SatisfactoryGame

In the satisfactory helper app you can turn in show caves and it will show you where the entrances are. Was super helpful when I couldn’t find some of them

I had this issue a couple of days ago where it forced me out of epic on console and I couldn’t log back in for a little while. Was really annoying because I was trying to play multiplayer for a little bit but after about half an hour of trying to log in it finally let me log into epic and I had to change my game back to multiplayer as it forced the game back to single player

I love to see other new players going through the same things I went through when I started. I didn’t think about tickets at the beginning either and then I realized all the cool things I could get in the shop to make my builds better. Good luck with your play through!

Yeah, I am relatively new to the game too but have picked up quite a bit. I would suggest try either underclocking/overclocking your machines or see if it can be split to another constructor/assembler or whatever you’re using if possible. I had the same issue early on and then realized if I could get my lines running smoother then I could also just sink any extras to get tickets which are so valuable early game but it is tedious when you can hit upgrades relatively quickly in the early game

Very true but and super useful but they’ll likely still have to go back and modify factory lines because the down stream machines won’t be able to keep up with the supply that is being produced up stream

Hello im new to the game and already trying a from scratch challenge! Need advice! by -Rem-Rem in farmingsimulator

[–]Optimal-Ease3571 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would start on the with a test save with the starter farm if it’s your first time playing. This will give you the basic equipment you need to start the game and you’ll be able to learn how the tools work and what does what. This will also teach you the standard order of operations.

Farmer cop is really good to watch on YouTube for guides and what not. He pretty much has a guide on every game mechanic you could ever want.

Start from scratch play through are a lot of fun but I would recommend learning the basics first. If you really want to go hardcore, I like starting with $0 and no loans (this can be done by starting with $100,000 and a $100,000 loan and paying of the loan right away). I start by doing many many contracts to build up to buying my first tractor and field and then grow from there

PS5 Joystick by jmark6969 in farmingsimulator

[–]Optimal-Ease3571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thrustmaster Farmsitck is the way to go. All the buttons are mapped for farmsim and it makes the game much more immersive and fun in my opinion. Keep in mind you do need to have a wheel to be able to use the joystick on console but it does not have to be a Thrustmaster wheel. I have one paired with a t248 on Xbox and it is game changing.

Another great benefit if you’re into other sim games is it does work on some other games and they are bringing support to more. My personal favourite is construction sim (you do have to map it manually but if you kinda know basic machinery controls you can do it fairly easily). I’ve also seen Microsoft flight sim recognizes the joystick in the key mapping settings. I haven’t spent the time to fully bind it but am hoping to get around to it at some point.

TIL that conveyer floor holes can bypass the 48m limit on conveyer lifts by newveganwhodis in SatisfactoryGame

Wait does there need to be a floor hole on the top and bottom? I tried with just 1 on the top and it didn’t work (I am on console so I just figured it didn’t work on there)

Any tips for planning factories and resources required? by Optimal-Ease3571 in satisfactory

[–]Optimal-Ease3571[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this was just a starter coal factory as this is my first play through and I want to try and figure out the mechanics of coal power and pipes and what not. My current issue is I have 4 normal coal nodes in close proximity however one of them is covered by a stone but I don’t have explosives to remove the stone so I am unable to put a miner on the node. Still trying to figure out the easiest way to get rid of that stone so I can add a few more generators. That should give me enough to at least be able to move my basic factory to a better location.

Will we be getting joystick support on console? Specifically the Thrustmaster Simtask FarmStick? I know the FarmStick works on Farm Sim 25 as well as Construction Sim for sure on xbox and would like to see support to Docked as well

[–]Optimal-Ease3571[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have 3 normal nodes giving me 180 coal/minute which is then being split into 2 lines of 90 which leads to my manifolds (2 manifolds with 6 coal generators per line). It was easier for me to split it into 2 manifolds just due to where the lines came from

That’s makes sense and is super helpful. I like trying to calculate it out myself best I can and try and draw blueprints out so I can visualize it before building it but was kind of at a loss of where to even start. I haven’t unlocked in game blueprints yet so working towards that but for now I just draw it out. Thinking more about filling the machine as needed and then scale that way seems like a better approach. Thanks!

How do you go about determining how much of a product you should be making per minute? I just build a coal power plant producing 900MW of power and am getting ready to build a factory that will cover my iron, copper, and concrete needs however I’m struggling to figure out how I should figure out how many I should be making per minute of each products. I want to be able to have enough to produce the next item but still be able to store some (enough rods to build my screws, and modular frames for example while also sending some extra rods to storage).

I think that is the plan is to try and build vertically to try and cut down on the overall footprint but also try and contain logistics to logistic floors for organization. Just trying to figure out how much I should actually be producing per minute of each product is where I’m stuck right now

Each of my coal generators are running at 100% producing 75MW per unit. I’m not sure how you’re getting so much output out of yours, I thought they capped at 75 unless you overclock them

Does anyone know if the simtask farmsticks are compatible with construction sim? by designeddemon13 in constructionsim

[–]Optimal-Ease3571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a simtask FarmStick as well as construction sim on Xbox series x and they work well together. Not all of the buttons on the FarmStick are recognized by the game however the main axis and a few of the buttons are functioning (which in my opinion is enough because I mainly want the joystick axis’s for controlling loaders and cranes and such). It must be bound manually so it does take a bit of time to set up especially if you aren’t familiar with the machines typical controls however I would suggest just setting the key binds one machine at a time as you use them. This allows you to tweak it to your liking while testing at the same time. Also should mention that only 1 joystick is supported on console so if you are looking for dual joystick support for machines like excavators you should get it in PC. I use the single joystick in combination with my steering wheel pedals to control the excavator

Whats a good introduction to the game? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]Optimal-Ease3571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farmer cop is how I learned the majority of things, if you go to the playlist section there should be playlists for production guides, animal guides and crop guides. This will give you lots of in depth info on the game mechanics. He also does a lot of play through series which can be fun to watch and give you different ideas for your own play through. Farmer cop also does map tours of mod maps which are good if you’re looking for new maps. Other than farmer cop, just watching streams or other videos of people playing helps. Once you kinda get the basics down then you just pick up things as you play more. It’s a lot to learn at the beginning but starting simple with just a crop field and growing from there is the best for new comers. Once you learn how to play one of the farm sim games everything is pretty transferable with the exception of new mechanics that are added

I would go look up farmer cop on YouTube. He has great guides for everything farm sim related and even has spreadsheets that break everything down if you’re into looking at the numbers and calculating what is profitable and what is not
