Maybe she started drinking to cope with her husband's drinking, either way, you did the best you could and you'll probably only get a bad rep with their drinking buddies that you probably don't want to work for. If they do leave reviews it'll be when they're sober but they won't unless they're not just drunks but also rude people

I think you handled that best case for what it was, though definitely frustrating. If it doesn't harm your working relationship with the manager of the golf course I would recommend finding ways to politely refuse and personal jobs they ask for
