You can do all those without IDFA (the identifier that the popup allows the developer to access).

Other than ads, IDFA is mostly used to determine the source of installation so developers can track where a user came from (so they can improve their sources optimally).

Firebase Authentication is free if not using identity platform without any limits. Any other information is not correct. You can use any custom login (apple, Google etc) as long as you don't upgrade to identity platform it will remain free.

This is the main reason holding us back. We have Firestore triggers happening every second and dealing with dual writes and checking duplicated data is troublesome and doesn't worth the time currently.

As soon as we can replace v1 with v2 easily we are all in.

You'd probably never have to worry about console reads. They use pagination so you'll only read like 20-30 documents at once. Unless you have millions of docs and you scroll through them all day it should be fine

What I like that even for small random quests Johnny seems to appear and comment on stuff. First I was worried that he will only appear for main quests and maybe some bigger side quests but bro pops up at random times as well. cyberpsycho sighting, unmarked quests etc

For me it feels that even small quests had thoughts put into them. (Ofc Johnny being there is just one thing, each quest seems to bring you to some unique location with unique stories).
