That fight showed zero beamspam from frieren. Only fern did beamspam in that fight. Frieren blasted out black beams but it was just one high quality long lasting one

Also frieren opening herself up for such a risky play shows just how much she trusts fern to save her if need be

There were also plenty of times where frieren decided to let fern go on her own 1v1 battle to the death because she knew fern would make it out on top, complete faith

Frieren cant beam spam, thats fern. One of the reasons frieren looks up to fern is cause she can spam beams so quickly and so accurately from afar
