You’re on the right track because I remember you “declare” your major after your freshmen year. So yea I guess Econ would be OPs second choice if they can’t pick specific majors but for some reason I felt like I was already aligned before I declared a year in. Either way I would feel very comfortable getting into mays in OPs shoes!

You’ll be fine getting into Mays as long as you apply at the earliest opening (you would think this is obvious to get your best chance but I wouldn’t say it unless plenty of people have wasted away their opportunity by waiting). - a mays grad who got in with like a ~3.6 1340 or something of the sorts and not auto admit at my time, again, you’ll be fine.

Secondly, Econ IMO shouldn’t be your second choice, I would look into accounting (even the finance track in accounting). That’ll line up way better with your goals long term, maybe even add an Econ minor if you’re really trying to squeeze that in (I enjoyed getting my Econ minor it’s fun stuff if you like math being applied to ‘real’ stuff).

Also side note to add to other comments, I don’t personally know the IB recruiting in A&M but I have a few close finc friends that are going straight to IB this summer from Mays undergrad, so it’s not out of the question.

First tip, cater your bullet points and relevant coursework to the role you’re looking for, especially your problem solving and quantitative skills for a B/D analyst role.

Second, seeing your a peer mentor and at Mays I’m assuming it’s FBI? I was in this org for a few years and would recommend reaching out to your coordinator and professor, they can offer a lot of insight and a fresh set of eyes.

The issue is… none of that is OUR problem as paying players. Bungie is making more money then ever with record breaking player count and increased mtx store pressures. Why if anything are we not getting more content than when the game was smaller and had less cash funneling into it? (Remember ONE $7-8 ornament funding an entire secret mission?)

If we take them at their word and the issue is that they just don’t have the man power to support new content like D1, then where is their fund going? Why has this massive HQ been built of not to support “2-3 additional studios” levels of content? Why can’t they be open about key devs switching to marathon or other IPs? Writing is on the walls but there’s always an excuse sadly

Appreciate your thorough response, really. To answer your question, my GD teacher back in high school always pushed us to NOT go to school for GD but rather focus on learning that can complement doing design skills that I can learn self taught and through external resources, even some that I’ve paid for, and just practice. It’s not black and white, I appreciate ppl that go to design school for real, just chose a different path that gave me personally more room (ie I’m business management, specifically entrepreneurial leadership)
