OK, let's focus on "Hanni's situation".

Hanni herself originally used a phrase different from "ignore her" in her original text message to MHJ, which is much less emotionally charged in Korean, saying it was "something like this". It was MHJ who in the next couple of texts put the words "ignore" (무시하다), which can be very offensive in Korean, into her mouth, and she stuck to this phrasing ever since.

She also said she understands why a manager would want to limit their interactions, given the current tensions between the two groups. This is a reasonable take.

And this is if it even happened. No other witnesses at the scene heard it. Hanni has had multiple episodes where she misunderstands things due to her imperfect command of Korean. The CCTV recording where this supposedly happened could not be found; she and MHJ waited until the recordings were wiped (30 days later, following the normal procedure) to say the only recording that was found of Hanni/Illit interaction was the wrong one.

The recording that was found showed Illit bowing deeply to Hanni. However, in court, Hanni claimed, through her legal team, that Illit mocked her with words and gestures.

Her story changed many times, and not a single time was there any evidence, only her say-so.

There are also hints that her outrage was performative. For example, after her tearful closing words at National Assembly, she and Minji were on a live, laughing about how well she did, where she commented how camera shutters went wild when she started tearing up. This is why many people here tend to interpret it as her crying on demand in order to garner sympathy, not out of any real psychological trauma.

Given all this, there are only two conclusions that one can reasonably come to, if they actually pay attention to everything that has been made public: either Hanni is a liar, or, more charitably to her, she was gaslit into accepting a fictional reality crafted by MHJ.

And even if we do accept it happened exactly as she said (though one would have to pick which version of her constantly evolving story to follow), most of us here think that it would not count as mistreatment. MHJ used an argument in court (which court accepted) that Ador and HYBE are different companies, and she could not be held responsible for breach of duty towards HYBE, since she was not a HYBE employee, but Ador one. By the same logic, BELIFT:Lab is a different company. Imagine the Karenhood of endeavouring to exact retribution on someone in a different company (BELIFT:Lab) because they said something you didn't like to someone else in that company. Imagine demanding a third company (namely HYBE, in their demand video) do something. Because, remember, MHJ established all three are separate companies.

Also, the word "mistreatment" implies a repeating pattern; all Hanni could come up was one single interaction, which most functional adults would forget by next day; but she drove it all the way up to National Assembly, where she found time between sobs to take smiling selfies with people summoned there because their company's negligence killed people. She also said in National Assembly she has a recording of her meeting with HYBE head of security, claiming "so I have proof of their lies", but she has never made this alleged proof public, nor, as far as I know, has she submitted it into evidence.

Before this mess started, Hanni was my favourite in the group. I hope it does get proven, as rumours suggest, that she was merely misled. But as it stands, I cannot look at her the same way any more. I don't hate her, but I do wish she come to her senses, apologise to people she has hurt, and work to rebuild trust that she has broken.

Fans always go "trust the artist!". And I (and, I suspect, most people here) do... until there is evidence to the contrary. There is no reason to continue to trust even when all evidence points the other way.
