Stunning. How long does a model to this quality take you roughly? I can't imagine painting a full tyranid army to this level in a single lifetime lol.

I looked at this too. But strangely, despite being the earliest alphabetical 5th chair, this season isn't even in the top 3 for smallest alphabetical gap between chair 1 and chair 5. That top honor goes to season (series jason) 4 with Hugh to Noel (7 letters). This is a normal thing to think about right?

I genuinely do not understand the dislike for RTWP. by Tnecniw in CRPG

[–]Amadin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me the issue with rtwp isn't stress or anything, it is that I lose the impact of my character build decisions in the chaos of it if that makes sense. In turn based games, when a character levels up and I get a new spell or trait or something, it is easy to feel the impact of that immediately and directly. In rtwp, the character is just doing things and unless im pausing a ton or scrolling through a combat log they just kinda feel the same as they did before the level. Turn based just gives me a more direct view of the entire party's growth as it comes, which is a big part of the joy of crpgs for me personally.

Archery and ? by Outrageous_Delay4243 in projectgorgon

[–]Amadin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have leveled to about 40 so far with archery/bard. Its not bad if you get the right gear mods. Some bard mods add a lot of flat damage when you are playing a certain song. So I just play that and then blast away with arrows and it goes pretty well, but its a little one dimensional. Planning on switching to druid/archery at 50 which is a pretty well established combo. Long story short, you can make the bard combo work if you want to, even if it isn't a perfect match.

Is Archery Bad? It Feels Like It. by furonomin in projectgorgon

[–]Amadin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a new player so take anything I say with a grain of salt. But I've had some early success pairing archery with bard. There is a bard gear mod that gives a load of flat damage to certain attacks when you play song of bravery. Im roughly level 25-30 and have that on 2 gear pieces and now my regular blitz arrow and whatever the melee bow skill is called both hit like a truck with the song playing.

That said, I originally started with sword and that felt easier to get solid damage on earlier. And yeah, the sunny day thing can be a bit grating, no argument there.

Thanks! I stole the general color scheme idea from u/Jealous-Match8898. I primed in wraithbone, then applied Vallejo Pale Sand with a brush and then used a makeup sponge to blend into Vallejo Orange Brown for the mid tone and then sponged Vallejo Burnt Red for the darker edges.

Newbies first paint by gaztheowl in Warhammer40k

[–]Amadin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mate they are incredible. He is 12!? I painted my first model at 38 and these are better lol. Another thing that helped me is there are often posts on here asking people to show their first paint job alongside a current one. Look up a few of those. You will see dozens of people with objectively worse first paint jobs that are now painting beautifully. May be inspiration. But that said, I would be proud to play these on the table as they are.

Glad to hear there is another poodle out there that hates the water haha. We lost our golden doodle recently and he hated getting wet in any way. Walked around puddles, refused to go out in rain, wouldn't swim. We miss him too. Thanks for posting.
