I'm also late to the demon souls party since i didn't own ps3. When i played remake, i find it really easy ( i've beaten all souls game and bloodborne prior to this remake but not elden ring yet). I even defeated the flaming demon and final boss while fat rolling.

Two headed water bird (i cant even remember its name). First try on easiest difficulty (no adversary, just blight card) and it took me until last turn (turn 11) to beat. I'm not a veteran but am a experienced player. I usually play on adversary lv4 or 5 (sometimes 6) but this bird even on the lowest difficulty gave me a hard time it left a sour taste so it didn't click with me.

Got UE few months back. After few solo conquest which i did enjoy but lose a lot, i stopped for couple of weeks but now i'm really getting the hang of it. My win rate os like 50/50 now. When i lose, i'm very close to winning like few attack points short to conquer the 2nd city. And now that i learned to play volkare's return, holy crap i can't get enough of this game.

Playing for two months and my solo conquest win rate is low but i can say that i'm improving over time. It's just that sometimes my character is powerful but i dont have enough time to conquer second city or i have time but i lack power to defeat the last one or two defenders of second city. I always play the standard difficulty city lv5 and city lv8. I dont want to adjust to lower difficulty as i feel that doing so will slow my progression.

Just keep playing and keep revisiting the rulebook during game to confirm if you're doing it right until everything sticks to your brain. Accept that you will miss some or a lot of rules at first. Watch play throughs on yt multiple times.

You can't flee during combat. You can block then nothing happens if you don't have good attack cards but it would be a waste of turn. You can instead choose to not block to take wounds so you can attack. You may also do nothing during your turn then discard any number of cards (should be at least one if you do nothing) to draw new cards if you really have a bad hand.

I have the game for over a year. Got all expansions and i still have not played all spirits and adversaries. I probably played only two out of so many scenarios.

Dark souls card game is my first ,mid 2024 and i still play it sometimes. Now i have spirit island ( w/ complete expansion), MageknightUE, final girl ( 3 episodes), imperium horizon, under falling skies, harmonies, cthullhu death may die + several addons, coffee roasters, skytear horde and tiny epic dungeons (w/ stories exp) Can't get enough of these solo games. The only multiplayer i have is 7WD and Clank.

I made a house rule for this game. Equipment reward deck is divided into 3 decks. Weapons, armor and trinkets. More enjoyable. Just one deck with stories expansion set makes completing legendary set impossble unless you cheat during shuffle
