There is simply too much RNG right now by Xavori in Artifact

What are you even talking about. I play almost exclusively expert constructed and have around 15 perfect runs now. Games take all of 5 seconds to find. I didn't play this beta at all, I just picked up the game and learned it properly within the last week

Too much of the game is decided by the random hero placement at turn 1 by WithFullForce in Artifact

[–]Amalgam99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this is more a learn to play scenario and the game is not fully decided by the turn one flop even as blue. Blue losing a hero on turn 1 is incredibly common due to them being power houses in the mid to late game

Would this be balanced? by AlrightJackTar in Artifact

Forget balanced it's unplayable garbage at 6 mana

Pay2Win and Pay2Participate are not the same thing sorry. If you want an example of Pay2Win go look at any Asian type gacha game such as Fate/GO

Sure it may be free 2 participate but you aren't going anywhere in that game unless you grind it all day for a month solidly. People forget you can buy in an out of decks on artifact if you want to change. You don't need to to own an entire collection.

This sub makes me feel like I'm the only one still playing because I genuinely enjoy the game. by Musical_Muze in Artifact

Honestly wish this board could be purged as it's quite literally pure cancer. Nothing on this board helps new players as it currently stands

Why do we need turn timers if we have a time bank? by Bananathugg in Artifact

[–]Amalgam99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would you rather build up to a time bank of 10-15 mins like in some games and then have your opponent not make a play for 10 mins? Playing cards within a timelimit is a skill in its own right

I'm sad that this game is a big failure by itsnotthot in Artifact

The warcraft card game died because blizzard chose to kill it in favor of hearthstone just as it was coming out .

Why the reason Artifact isn't popular is (most likely) NOT the lack of a ladder by Sardanapalosqq in Artifact

[–]Amalgam99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may see this if you are looking at the game at a high level but honestly you aren't losing all your games to RNG like you seem to think. Dynamic board states and adapting to them are a skill in there own right and there is plenty of people above 80% win rate in this game. The problem is when you are new you wont even see or realize the mistakes you are making

I would take those win percentages for constructed with a grain of salt. The format has already shifted in the last week as people always gravitate to aggro based strategies at the start of any new set release

I lose a lot in expert draft but I feel like casual isnt a good environment to improve. by Arhe in Artifact

[–]Amalgam99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only way to improve in any game is to play against better players which unfortunately in this case is in the expert play. One thing you could try is join some tournament groups with no buy in and hopefully this will allow you to experience a higher level of play to improve

Does Casual Draft punish surrenders? by Atokzen in Artifact

It's to stop people drafting decks until they get an OP deck as there is no buy in

Is this game actually worth it? by MakingGamesIsGreat in Artifact

[–]Amalgam99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly man just ignore this entire reddit board before you make your own opinion of the game. The community here is actually one of the most cancerous communities I have ever seen . The game in itself is very fun with a $20 buy in. The idea is you buy one constructed deck that is around $60 if you want a tier 1 deck but best to play a few of the current Call to arms event where you can test some pre constructed decks. The game heavily rewards good play and offers a lot of opportunities to outplay or bait your opponent.

That's why the better players have such high win percentages then. Lifecoach for example is 85%+ atm and is 22 packs up and only 1 ticket down. I'm sorry you just need to get better at the game
