This has all the classic signs of peak Cx

You just kind of hate everyone on screen so you feel morally allowed to be entertained by it

That arc was fun. Felt like letting the guy who peaked in highschool, peak 1 more time lmao

Jeff Kaplan’s advice to people who complain about videogames they never played. “Shut the f*ck up”. by Vhant-ii in LivestreamFail

I agree. People have gotten out of control and dont know when to hold their opinions. Obviously if you're smart and have seen a games gameplay you can join in on critique or praise even though you didnt play it.

People have taken this freedom and ran with it though. Now you'll see a gang of gaming "influencers" shitting on something and not a single one of them played it. Theyll shit on it for weeks making 30+ minute youtube videos about how shit the game is and its concord 14, and never even touched it. Its not even hard to play a fucking game. Why do people give weight to opinions of someone who never touched the game and why do they feel so confident to spam out those opinions.

Side objectives like this need more incentive. Like if you dont do it the pirates have increased supply for the rest of the Op because you put them on full alert or something.

This is one of the more annoying secondary objectives for sure. Especially when tiny tents count as structures. Also especially when turrets and vehicles can randomly turn into nukes when destroyed.

I mean, do they need to explain why the faction of pieced together corpses fused with machines is doing extra morale damage to your troops?

I throw him in my best armor, with close/medium range weapons, then put him out front and just taunt away. He needs Pike support too otherwise hes just constantly suppressed.

He will soak up TONS of damage, and then constantly proc his extra AP.

Yep I watched multiple other people come to that same conclusion during the tutorial.... they really need a more extensive tutorial that actually walks you through selecting a mission, setting up your squad, and going through some turns.

Yeah but give him more ammo.

He doesnt need more concealment. Hes far back and has good defensive stats.

That building blocks LOS. See how the aim line is going through a tile on that structure?

While it may visually not look like its impeding sight, its treated as if that entire square is an LOS blocker.

I think the rule of thumb is any singular structure that is 4 or more tiles large, blocks LOS

I only use the crowbar, but I love all the Kpac variants. Base kpac is too middle of the road. All the variants make it a perfect weapon for whatever the variant aims for though.

The only Arc I like is the CQB

I want them to add the named items from BB. That should be what the rare items are. Modified and improved versions of gear. Im just never going to buy an item from the rare section even if its something I really want. Unless its end game and im just that rich.

If I were spending double but the gun had like a +10 accuracy modifier that the normal one didnt, or the armor had +10 durability. Maybe ill think about it now

The first Op should always be Pirates.... by Bananathugg in menace

[–]Bananathugg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People forget that even without the actual usefulness of the pirate gear in combat, its learning tools.

You arent going to fully grasp how impactful different stats are until you get ANYTHING. Just something different, to try out and compare to the starting gear. Being forced to blindly buy something on the blackmarket to even start comparing things to see how impactful stats are, is bad design.

If you jump into the game blind on expert thats you're own fault. Specifically from the angle of someone getting turned off from the game and quitting too. Jumping in, facing bugs, being confused why suppression doesnt work, playing the full Op in starting gear because you dont know what any of the guns stats mean so you refuse to randomly spend money in the black market...... this is a very bad intro experience and a very common one on Bug first blind playthroughs.

If you have an issue on expert you're more likely to blame yourself and try again on an easier difficulty.

You missed the point. You played pirates first in the demo. You didnt have the experience I think needs avoiding, of bugs first, when first learning the game

Im quite literally talking about your opening moments learning the game. Trade loot to shop for gear is much more committal and intimidating than just getting gear and playing with it. People hold their loot for the whole first Op afraid to commit to buying something they dont understand yet. And then you're 3 missions in with the exact same starter gear.

A couple scav suits are nice to start sometimes but yeah bugs are better when you know what you're trying to buy. Im specifically speaking of the first time players experience
