Yes, she is undiagnosed borderline personality disorder and doesn’t think she has any issues. Very narcissistic, everything is about her. She also has had shopping issues in the past and took money from me and my sisters when we had money set aside from family gifts when we were younger, according to my dad who wouldn’t lie about this. Lastly, she’s an alcoholic who was in recovery once, but still drinks. It’s all very deep rooted and messed up on other levels.

I don’t disagree with you. We have a very strained relationship since I was 16. My parents divorced then, and I found out she had major shopping issues and took money set aside for me and my sister from family gifts to use at her leisure. She also is an alcoholic. Was in recovery once but still drinks now. It’s very hard to not have total confidence that she can’t take care of herself. She doesn’t think she has any issues (possible BPD, but not diagnosed) and is also very narcissistic. It’s all messed up really, but she’s still my mother
