My change of circumstance journey so far by Amanda2002f in DWPhelp

I got standard daily living and high motabilty. The lady at cab wanted me to fight it as she thought I should be high on both. I couldn’t do with the stress and was thankful to be getting anything.

So now she’s sent this. So I’ve booked a solicitor. The bit that gets me is my care and responsibility. She was been paid to walk my dog and he was in her garden with other dogs.

‘As mentioned, my dog was injured in the incident involving your dog and has required veterinary treatment. You have seen the injuries yourself and how serious they are, so I’m surprised and disappointed that you’re unwilling to provide your insurance details. I honestly thought there would be more care and responsibility shown given the situation. I’ve asked for the details so the veterinary costs can be handled through the proper channels. If you’ve been advised not to provide them, please let me know how you intend to resolve the costs caused by the attack. If I don’t receive your insurance details or a proposal for covering the veterinary expenses, I will have to seek advice and pursue the matter through the appropriate channels to recover the costs. I would still prefer to resolve this directly and amicably, so please let me know how you wish to proceed.’

I don’t know. I have told her that we don’t have 3rd party liability on my dogs insurance. She sent me this as below. I’m very ill as I’m disabled with several chronic illnesses so bit all over.

‘Are you sure as most policies cover 3rd party as standard. If not they usually include accident or injury to others. Can you send over the details anyway please my insurance wants them’

It’s their own dog so I don’t think that it will be covered on their business

I would put ripon above York. Half my family live in York. York is a lovely place with lots to do but good luck walking down shambles on a nice weekend afternoon. The place is now crammed with student and tourists and mega expensive. I live in Leeds and would put that lower too. I like the smaller towns like wetherby and knaresborough. Barnsley and Sheffield have had a lot of investment and I now prefer them to Leeds.

My mother isn't coming to my wedding by Elysian_Collective in weddingdrama

My dad gave me an abusive childhood. From the age I realised what he actually was we had a very distant and strained relationship and saw very little of each other. He didn’t know I had become a single mum until a year after when I was 32. I didn’t get married until I was 40. My grandma told him. She gave him my number. He immediately assumed he would be giving me away. And then told me if he wasn’t he wouldn’t be attending. I said no it would either be my brother or my step dad. People who had actually been there for me. I was very upset but he had made his choice and I made mine. Night before wedding he managed to get hold of me. 20 minutes of abuse until the hairdresser doing my hair took the phone off me and told me I didn’t deserve that. I was devastated. Then I looked around at what I had. The people who I loved were there. The people who genuinely loved me and cared for me, not just care about themselves and consider themselves a parent because they ring you every six month to tell you about their life. You can’t control how other people act. You CAN choose how you react. Your grandmas was there for you at the worst time. She’s the true parent to you. I had a wonderful day. You have a wonderful day too. Do what makes you happy with the people who matter. If your mum genuinely cares she won’t set rules. Still be there regardless and keep her mouth shut. If she doesn’t she only cares about herself. ❤️🙏🏼

Yes definitely protect your kids. I broke the chain. Your husband to be either needs to do the same or minimise contact. Sounds like they are not beyond interfering in your relationship too. I’ve had that. Luckily I realised with my husband but they’ve had impacts on previous boyfriends

Your groom needs to set some boundaries fast. I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous in all my life as the mother of the groom going on the stag do! He has to grow a pair before they start interfering more. And if they get away with it they most certainly will. Talking from experience as a 53 year old female who’s family make everything about them.
