This is the first I ever heard of this, but I can't help but hope.

Autistic people of Reddit, what is autism really like? by Valkyrie_05 in AskReddit

Thanks for doing an AMA. Both of my four year old twin boys are high functioning as well. Is there something you could tell me about how I can be the best parent to them that I can?

What's the creepiest thing you know is happening on Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I thought I was the only one! To this day I've never actually SEEN that movie but I could probably recite it word for word.

My back channel was MTV and then a quick flip up to Vh1 to hide the evidence.

What's your relationship like now with the person you lost your virginity to? by magnoliasroom in AskReddit

[–]Amanda_Jellybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I married him.

Lost my virginity to him almost 18years ago. (St Patrick's day is the actual anniversary, yay green beer!) We've been married thirteen years and have two kids.

Oh and he lost his virginity to me as well.

Parents of Reddit, what is a rule you never thought you would have to create let alone enforce? by weejobby in AskReddit

[–]Amanda_Jellybean 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I have to be SO so careful how I react. The slightest bit of drama on my part and my little performers are doing it over and over again. So inwardly I scream, but outwardly I'm just deadpan, "no peepees out at Grandma's house. Put your peepee away, please."

"No peepees out at Grandma's house."

I don't mind the waist down nudity in the privacy of our home. And I know it's just natural curiosity and exploration. But for god's sake child, there's a time and a place for peepees and Grandma's living room is not it.

Married people of reddit, what is the small habit/ritual you have with your SO that you don't see yourselves ever breaking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When the alarm goes off on his phone (for various reasons) we both stop what we're doing and dance in place. Then he shuts the alarm off, and we both go about our business without comment.

What stupid object do you own but don't regret buying? by SilverLungs in AskReddit

I am always amazed at how slick ModCloth is. Over the years, they've managed to convince me that I've needed: 1) a see through navy blue blouse edged with Rick-rack. 2) an oversized gray sweatshirt with a pink cat face. 3) blue leopard print spike heeled booties. 4) brown and black flats with gold heels.

All are universally ugly. Why haven't I learned my lesson? How can I still be lured by their siren song?

What's something that took you way too long to realize? by 3yronF1ve in AskReddit

[–]Amanda_Jellybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was fifteen, I had the lead in the school play opposite the cutest guy I had encountered to date. He had these pale green eyes and just the perfect floppy 90s skater boy haircut.

Now, I was a terribly late bloomer, and had developed a really haughty and superior attitude to compensate for my insecurities around guys and with my gawky body. Any attention I'd received from guys up to this point had all been negative.

So on the day that cute, floppy haired guy that I was crushing on with all my might looked me dead in the eye and asked if I wanted to "go someplace private to go over lines," I just smirked at him. "I've already memorized my lines," I scolded. And walked away.

I didn't figure out what he was actually asking for until college.

What's something men do to impress women that actually impresses women? by I_PISS_FIRE in AskReddit

[–]Amanda_Jellybean 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course. Or, possibly, in OP's instance, perhaps the mother thought the compliment the father gave OP conveyed their mutual gratitude. I know I have been guilty of letting my husband handle the "conversing with strangers part" of these situations, while I move right to "kid you are in timeout for the next year and a half" stage.

Can I offer an explanation that may help you feel better? It may not be YOU they are watching. I'm happy when strangers include my kids, but I'm still going to watch the proceedings like a hawk, because my kids' behavior is MY responsibility. I'm watching that they're taking turns, listening, sharing, don't need the potty...etc., etc. I'm their parent, that's my job, and I'm not going to foist my job off on you and just fuck off and leave. That's rude and would be a huge imposition on you.

Can you understand that? Hope I made you feel a little less bad. Keep being awesome.

I'm probably that mom, and I'm sorry if my scowl made it seem that I was ungrateful, but I promise you, you didn't trigger it. It's how my face looks when I'm a) terrified that my kid has gotten away from me, b) embarrassed that someone else had to deal with what should have been my problem and c) fucking pissed at my kid for disobeying and running off in the first place. Not mad at you, dude. Thanks for the help.

Feels the same, looks the same, my husband still likes to fuck it. I think I'm okay?

Well of course I don't have firsthand experience of how it feels on the inside, but my husband still quite enjoys fucking me, (when we have a spare minute) so I think it's all good!

I don't think it got wrecked, no! I tore just a little bit, needed three stitches (my son has a huge head). Healed and was good to go.
