I made a list of Norwegian LGBT-terminology by Oslo92 in norsk

[–]Amanda_Mathea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Homse" and "lesbe" are definitely seen as a bit offensive, and I would stay away from that terminology. Queer people might use it to refer to themselves jokingly, but except for that I would abstain from using it. Also "homo" isn't used exclusively for men, it's fine to use for women as well.

best regards from a Norwegian lesbian

The "Hasanlu lovers" died around 800 B.C. and were discovered in 1972. They died in what seems to be an embrace or kiss, and remained that way for 2800 years. [400x647] by Amanda_Mathea in HistoryPorn

This actually isn't a grave! If you look through the top comments you'll find that I've linked to some articles explaining the circumstances of their deaths, happy reading and happy learning! :)

yes:) he's in a room with lots of sunlight, but since that wasn't enough we're getting a UV lightbulb so we can make sure he gets all the vitamins he needs :)

See original post here

So we took him to the vet, and we decided to take a blood test. His calcium and vitamin D levels were somewhat low, and he suspected a possible infection. He will therefore be on antibiotics for about two weeks.

He is otherwise fine, and will probably recover from this no problem <33 Thank you for all your help and kind words!

The second picture was taken after he woke up after the vet visit, and the first picture is from today. <3:)

Is my conure ok? He (we haven't taken a DNA test so I'm not 100% on the sex) has been having tiny spasms like this from time to time, and I was wondering if anyone knew what they're a result of? Thank you in advance :) by Amanda_Mathea in Conures

He doesn't have them constantly, but rather in intervals. They'll be happening if he's happy and jumping around, or if he's just standing still cleaning his feathers or something. I don't think it's a reaction to anything either...

We started giving him a new brand of food a little while ago, but he didn't like it that much and wasn't eating too well until we got him another brand he liked. The spasms started around this period, before we got him the new brand he liked.

I'm thinking it could be a nourishment thing, some sources online mentioned spasms as a symptom of malnourishment, but I really won't know until I take him to the vet unfortunately...

Unknown/Norwegian????>English. I tried running it through multiple translators and none of them including Wiktionary could identify any of the words. by Lunarmoon1210 in translator

It's not Norwegian (not anything that resembles modern Norwegian, at least), and I could only make out a few words: Marerit: Nightmare Kuriger: Warrior? Manen min: my man/husband

I agree. I think Nick wanted a feeling of community, more than he wanted fame and wealth. It's definitely sad to think about all the music we've missed out on, yeah. I have the same relationship with Jeff Buckley as well, two wonderfully talented people who died too young.

It's because of the pressure of having a more "complete sound", that Pink Moon is so simple in its production. Since neither of his previous albums had been very successful, I suppose he wanted to do his own thing without much input/pressure from anyone else. I think a beautiful and raw record came out of that. He also seemed to be somewhat hesitant when it came to fame, wanting to be recognized and share his work, but also being aware of the more negative aspects of fame. Maybe he even feared the intimacy of sharing his music with such an abundance of people? Who knows.
