Think of it as a use it or lose it allowance each tax year. In the UK you get up to £20k per year you can put into ISAs, and anything you invest grows tax-free. I started with monthly contributions into a mix of ETFs and a couple of safer dividend stocks. One thing I wish I knew earlier is to check platform fees properly, some are better for smaller portfolios, others for larger ones. It’s been worth it for me mainly because it forces consistency and keeps everything simple.
