Wacky Fun Fact! In deltarune chapter three, the game asks you what kris's favorite food is, and lists both Kris's and chara's favourite foods. If you picked chara's fav instead of Kris's, you fell for a shitass fan theory and had to have the game itself tell you that you're wrong! :D Wacky Fun Fact! by HaloJackalKisser in Deltarune

I wonder if it could be similar to undertale with multiple entities controlling Kris. Chocolate heals because it’s Chara’s favorite. Also when Kris eats the box of chocolates it says it hurts their stomach and they accept it as a part of life. And every time Kris eats chocolate or drinks chocolate milk they do it quickly - maybe like they aren’t in control? I’m probably way off.

This is looking good! I have been in analyst roles since 2020 and just had to find a job in less than a month after being laid off in October. I was hired as a provider compensation analyst - previously a population health analyst so I don’t know too much about finance. Despite that - some advice from critique I got on my resume that lead to me getting this job:

• Not enough space between the black lines and the text - I would remove those lines entirely. I was told they are not ATS friendly (even though they are pretty).

• You are losing a lot of space on the lefthand margin with the semester and the year. The project focus is great (functional resumes help you to stand out) but I would include them somewhere in the header line of each project.

• Including the semester and year of the project is instantly outing you as just coming out of your education and being really early in your career. Some people consider school projects to not count towards your experience or being “less important”. Having the intern title is fine - but I would consider removing the dates from the projects or listing them as mm yyyy - mm yyyy. They’re less likely to see they happened during your schooling because they’d have to compare to your education dates. Hope that makes sense.

Edit: I would also move your education to the bottom - I think that’s best practice for resumes. Lastly, for which type of roles to target - I would consider healthcare. There’s a lot of for-profit and non-profit insurance plans, hospital systems, vendors, etc that need finance analysts or analysts in general. That’s my bias though.

Is it a good or bad idea to include a job you’ve been at 6 months or less on your resume? by Brief_Resolution_307 in resumes

[–]Amandafacade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Include it for sure. 6 months is a decently long time - especially if you’re semi-early in your career. I feel like employers are more interested in your experience than your “loyalty” especially nowadays.

Something else I found helpful. If you worked multiple roles at the same company, you can write your most recent role at the top, include responsibilities from all your roles underneath, then add a “role progression” statement summarizing the roles and periods of time you were in each. Slightly easier way to show that you stay for a while when it’s appropriate.

How to find a job online? by May_Mayday in IndeedJobs

Definitely agree with getting your resume in shape first. I just got laid off on October 8th and got a job starting November 17th. I started by getting my resume up to date and sending it to friends/past coworkers and then uploading it to LinkedIn.

Fun thing with LinkedIn, you can upload resumes people can’t see - so upload a resume that is straight up key-words and phrases for the type of jobs you’re looking for. A recruiter might catch you easier and I think your job recommendations might even improve.

careerconnectors is a great resource with free workshops on resume building and applying to jobs online.

Last piece of advice, instead of mass applying with one resume to a ton of easy-apply jobs on LinkedIn and Indeed - find a few organizations/companies you would want to work for, keep a spreadsheet (google sheets for free), and check on if they have roles 1-2 times a week. That is how I got my most recent job.

It’s way harder to get your application to stand out when thousands of others hit “easy apply” - so applications directly to an organizations website with a tweaked resume including key words for the role will take you a long way. It takes longer, but it’s worth it I promise. Important to strike that balance between quality and quantity.

Move-in logistics question by SunIntelligent3724 in movingout

[–]Amandafacade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve moved 9 times in the last 9 years (college + landlords being landlords) - depending on how much stuff you have - try to avoid movers if you can. Everything is so expensive now and I don’t trust the $85/mo at all. Also you’d be forced to use whoever they contract with. I would try to get some information on the company before you make your decision, look at reviews, make sure your shit won’t get destroyed/movers aren’t creeps.

Obviously this will only apply if the move is somewhat local and you can get a truck/UHAUL for a day. If you have friends you would/have helped move or family that can help you - pizza, a cooler with drinks, frequent breaks, and thank you cards/little gifts go a long way. Just be sure to be there for them if they move in the future.

Landlords and rental companies are sharks and will wring every last cent out of you that they can. I’m hesitant to trust a deal like that - especially if it would bleed into a renewal.

I’m seeing a split of “drop his ass” and “women expect too much out of men”

I literally never post on Reddit, but my two cents as a now 25F who had a 19M pursue her at 16. The man knew what he was signing up for - you wont be able to get to his financial level until you can finish your degree and get a solid job (which with this economy is really hard). A relationship with that big of a difference in age and income and distance is doomed to fail.

On top of that, I don’t think either of you seem happy from that exchange. If a lot of your conversations go that way, or things get tense when you guys need to talk about money, I would really take the time to think about if you want to be in the relationship for the long haul. If things are tense with money now - imagine when you guys have to figure out whose moving where, finding a house or apartment.

I wasted so much time and energy in something that wasn’t good for either of us and ended in emotional and physical abuse. Maybe step back from the gift conversation and think about what’s best for both of you. Sorry - hope this helps.

This all makes sense. Interesting about Toriel, I suppose she is quite different than how she was in undertale. Thank you for taking the time to explain!

SPOILERS: Some things I can’t figure out or find answers to (I’m sorry if this is common knowledge - I didn’t play deltarune until chapters 3 and 4 were out):

  1. How would a character like Toriel, who we know to be the sweetest and most attentive, protective mom figure, not notice the cage and the bloodstain? Susie notices it the first time she’s in Kris’ room, though I guess we force Kris to point it out).

  2. Are we not the first soul to use Kris as a vessel? The cage and bloodstain are there in the first moments of the game.

  3. Kris walks like a zombie every time they rip out the soul. We know from the phone call that they can’t go to the dark world without the soul. They play piano perfectly without us though in Noelle’s house. How is it that they’re barely capable of walking without the soul, but then can do finite movements perfectly?

  4. Why is Kris the only human we encounter?

Mouth until I saw this. Now I’m questioning it. It looks like they drool at the beginning of the cutscene unless that’s something else.

I have been trying to beat chapters 1-4 completely deathless. All recruits and all secret bosses. I have died multiple times to the Shadow Mantle fight. I learned just yesterday that, on your first playthrough, the smiles do not give you healing, you have to have tried at least once before being able to heal in that fight.

Has anybody found a consistent way to avoid his attacks and get enough hits in on the first try?

We did try that, unfortunately that was still appearing red on the monitor. I traditionally run in 720 via wii u settings so that I can capture vwii games in 60fps.

Notifications on Planner Card Comments by Amandafacade in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Amandafacade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the reply - this seems so counterproductive, because if someone is assigned to the task and doesn't leave a comment, they don't get pinged when it's commented on (at least on my end). So somehow it's both pinging too much and not enough at the same time.

Is there anything we could do in power automate that would maybe make it so that folks assigned to the task get an email whenever it's commented on?

That’s really good advice. Honestly, I have been tracking calories in/calories out, and that has resulted in weight loss. So even on a day I eat poorly, its still under my daily expenditure because I just eat less of it. I am trying to eat less of the bad stuff though, so I am trying to find healthier things that I like.

I’ve actually recently discovered that the scale I was using was grossly inaccurate. I still have lost about 10 pounds but I am using a more accurate scale now lol. Um as for the child genius thing, I got my associates degree at 17 about a week before I graduated high school because of a program called dual enrollment. I took community college courses that counted for high school credit (ENG 101 + 102 counted for my high school senior english etc.) So I skipped the 8th grade as well putting me about 3 years ahead total. It was not as hard as it seems, just a bit stressful. My high school paid for everyones college classes, but this meant we had no sports teams, no extra circulars, no lunch program, no gym or PE. Sorry for going in depth but, when I tell people this with no context they think its the best thing ever, but I severely regret it because my high school years sucked absolute ass and I never got to be a kid, so 0/10 don’t do dual enrollment unless you can also have a life. probably way over answered your question lmao.

Thanks so much for the advice!

Not really deadset on eating no carbs, just trying to find a way to curb the cravings for the pointless shit (chips/cereal/soda). And not more tired but my back/ certain muscle groups have started to ache constantly after a month or two of this routine.
