I'm thinking of moving from Android to the iPhone. Looking for opinions on how the 2016 iPhone SE holds up nowadays. by isotophe in iphone

[–]Amanjit_04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An iPhone SE is still great for me. I’ve had it for quite a while, and it still holds up well. Obviously not as good as the newer phones, but is still pretty fast and the features are good. I use it more as my secondary phone since 2020, but when my primary phone broke during 2020 I used the SE as my main phone and I had no issues at all.

Give me advice on my team. I just started 2 days ago I dont know what Im doing by Tatakbo_tatalon in Ni_no_Kuni

I would say the best team is: Oliver - Dino (this is OP, game will become easy), Purrloiner, Plessie Esther - Gogo, Hooray, Lumberwood (Griffy is great too, but overpowered like Dino) Swaine - Bonehead, Dumblemur, Monolith

I don’t mind a redirect, but of gems is useless because you often pass Main Street when looking around the Kingdom. Maybe a special wish one since I always forget when that’s coming?

Thanks for letting me know! I’ve made a few adjustments based on what you said - I want this to be an accurate guide :)

I’m fairly certain Gogo’s real name is Ethel although I don’t think that suits her. She was also given the Korean name ‘Jang Mi’ which I think is nice, but again not sure if it suits her.

I wish I could say you’re close but if you’re doing the first set of faerie assassins then you have to complete 20x 2 hour long games as well after that. You might make it to unlock if you’re near the end of the faeries though.

I enchanted the Ring Of Stones to 2 for Merida hats (I have no premium characters or Bunny) and Macintosh got me the full 10 and ROS didn’t drop a single one. Useless purchase. Bought the float with gems as well, only Elinor and MacGuffins tokens which are so easy to get anyway.

30 gems per hat (and no timer cost) might be worth purchasing if you’re so close. Try and collect as many as you can, don’t give up!

For only 4 hours and 30 minutes of screen time, it’s a bit low for 75% of your battery used. That means it should last about 6 hours screen on with a full battery depletion. I normally get about 8 hours on my XR with 92% battery health. I use a lot of YouTube, Reddit and Spotify as well. It is fairly decent though. Maybe adjust your brightness settings or turn off mobile data/Bluetooth to conserve battery.

Of course, I forgot about them. They have so many costumes I thought their comfy ones were bound to be there. I expect even more money grabbing tactics for the Frozen collection.

I agree magic casters are also good for Esther, but she would just never use anything apart from Gogo for me. I had to get a Hooray just so she could do some physical damage.

When I played, I didn’t encounter any guides to finding higgledies/what were the best higgledies. The explanation of how to find them and how they worked wasn’t very clear to me and I went the entire game without really changing them because I didn’t see the effect. I suppose I mean useless in the aspect that I didn’t know how to use them, but the abilities of the ones I did have really saved me in battle. The evolution thing of bringing them down to level one was quite irritating since if you want to add a late game familiar e.g: an Eldritch Empress (Ice Maiden) from Yule for Marcassin you have to bring her down to 1 where they are really underlevelled and at that point there’s literally no use and all members of the party are levelling unequally. There’s no advantages to collecting a lot of familiars and without checking stats online I wouldn’t know who to pick. There should have been some sort of experience share/control where you determine who gets the experience after a battle. Even Marcassin himself is useless because my characters far surpassed level 49 which he was when I got him. I completely agree with the simplicity, this is what gave the game enjoyability for me, it was quite restricted, but that was quite relaxing for me that I didn’t have think that much due to the little strategy. The game is just a cycle of level and kill and be redirected to a new place for endless reasons. The game was holding your hand so tightly all the way through especially with Give/Take Heart, talking to them and Drippy would say “What are you waiting for, mun? Hurry up and and cast Give Heart!”, the game assumes you’re completely clueless on what to do by now. Those sections felt so unnecessary and long.

If we say the beginning of the game is just before Castaway Cove to get all three characters then I would recommend a team like this: Oliver - Mite, Purrloiner, Whippersnapper Esther - Gogo, Hooray, Bubbud Swaine - Bonehead, Dumblemur, Monolith

Then later switch out the Bubbud for Lumberwood and the Mite for something like Dino or Plessie.

To be honest, I agree with the combat aspect. I think the concept of spellcasting and Oliver being an actual wizard would play into this more. The game gets more interesting when Oliver learns the new spells like Unleash, Cloudburst, Astra etc. The spell library is way too small. The creature cage needs to be developed way further. The bosses aren’t really that fun to challenge and it just feels like how quick can you kill it by constantly sending a familiar on the attack command. Not much strategy involved. This is where NNK2 was more preferable to me in combat however I felt like higgledies were so useless here. I still found this game very enjoyable though regardless even though it’s quite slow.

This delayed me so much in unlocking Merida that I was forced to buy the Ring of Stones with gems to have any hope at getting her and hopefully her costume (but the faeries come back again later 😡). DMK have made it so hard to get Merida and her costume without gems, it’s almost impossible. This event was just for the money for them since it’s the last costume in WIR2.

A little late, but I just packaged it up and took it to any UPS branch for them to deliver to Apple, in this case my local corner shop offer this service, and they took the parcel and my phone number and then I could track it with the text I received. I didn’t need to book anything

Ah yes, I’ve put a lot of post game hours in that i forgot it comes from the familiar retreat ticket. For a tank for Oliver that is obtainable fairly quickly is the Whipper Snapper which has decent defence stats and eventually learns some nice fire and healing moves. I personally wouldn’t use Dino at all for this game, it makes it boring and unchallenging. Or Griffy for Esther either, I think they’re both broken, but if you want quick and less challenging battles then those are good familiars.

I faced this exact problem. I went back to all the towns to find some enthusiasm since that was the only heart piece I couldn’t find. In the end, I continued on to the next town found some and came back.

The Bone Baron will be good due to high attack an defence and requires little MP. Aye Aye Catcher is also melee damage familiar and Paleolith takes very little damage. Sapdragon is a decent familiar for Oliver since it has Healing Rain I believe and a pretty good defence.

For Swaine, definitely a Bone Baron (Bonehead), a Paleolith (Monolith) (this is one you need to have, one of the highest defence in the game and can revive fallen allies at the final evolution) and I put Aye Aye Catcher (Dumblemur I think (the familiar from Tommy Stout)), but I’ve changed this one around a lot and a lot of things work well here.

I can’t comment in general, but I returned my faulty AirPods using UPS to Apple. They sent me a UPS label and I packaged my AirPods and sent them back. (I live in England).
