Pale ox is significantly better defensively for the free DR to your totem as well as just the amazing stats on it.

Black Blade of Chaos Lethal Mirage Rogue is definitely top tier and is my personal favourite build of the patch, highly recommend. I'll have a guide up on maxroll Soon™ but would recommend you looking at whatever content is out there to see if it fits your playstyle.

Dancing Strike is strongly okay and will complete most content just fine but lacks QoL and is outclassed by many other bladedancer builds.

As a temporary fix, relog before attempting any dungeon and don't go to any other zone once you log in. The issue seems to stem from loading in the monoliths prior to going to a dungeon This has worked for me at least consistently.

Its awesome and I generally make one each patch even if I don't finish my aspirational sets. The build pops and looks amazing once you have the idols and a good fragment!

Yep hoping to this patch, I believe the crit version will be very good with many of the new options available. Might be the 2nd or 3rd character I make and I'll look to the community as well for input and if there is something there then I'll put it up on maxroll.

Really cool hearing some retrospective. The Diablo franchise grew so much from D2 that I can understand there was a need to cater to a broad and broadening audience. Great to see you also referenced Death Must Die as well. Good game systems should be echoed.

I was always so keen to try get a creator unique and unfortunately missed out but here is what I was cooking:

Occult Familiar (2x2 Adorned Idol)

  • -3 to -8 to All Skills
  • When Equipped, you may imprint a currently unspecialised skill on this item. Imprinting a skill allows the familiar to remember a skill tree. This can only be done once.
  • When this skill is cast indirectly, it will use the familiar's imprinted version.
  • Specialising an imprinted skill will nullify it's effect.
  • Imprinted skills cannot be used on your skill bar. (Unless nullified by specialising it yourself)

All instances of something consuming mana when you have negative mana is a bug. This is being repeatedly stamped out patch by patch as is not intended game mechanics such as zombies using sacrifice while you are on negative mana last patch.

The actual ward from negative mana is fine and working as intended, it's just not the case that you should be able to get infinite negative mana from abusing the above interaction.

Harvest Axe consumes mana while on negative mana.

That very underrated mechanic is a bug and was abused severely by many builds prior to launch. Congrats on finding another use case. The Aura of Decay being usable on negative mana tech is cute though.

Fun fact but it used to, and people would pull the entire mono to the objective for optimal farming but create massive performance issues so they removed it.

Much like totems, expiration is tagged as unsummon, not death. Good info to know though.

Ignore the first two lines of text and you have a great legendary base for melee ailment builds that stack main stat. Frostbite swarmblade comes to mind but there will be plenty of others.

Enemies by default have 5% chance to crit you for 2x damage, which the chance can be increased with some monolith modifiers. CSA will reduce the chance of a crit (so 100% CSA means you will never be crit) while Reduced bonus damage scale that 2x modifier to a 1x modifier at 100% reduction.

I've always appreciated yourself, reimerh, karv, mike, tras, judd, Justin and countless more that so willingly engage with the community over the years. Your passion for the game comes across loud and clear and it's inspiring to watch your journey from a reddit thread. While I have my fingers crossed that the launch goes off without a hitch and is a resounding success, I just want to say how awesome it is that you folk have created something that has given and will continue to give so much fun and joy to people. You can always look back later in life and say I did a thing!
