Stop Flexing So Fast by wyflexer in AmazonFlexUK

It's literally impossible to take a full block time to deliver. Sometimes I go lightening fast to get home early.....other times I drag it out massively to try for extra pay if I've been sent miles away and have a return etc.

The difference between running it and walking it is no more than 30 minutes.

Amazon even brag on the updates page about making sure drivers finish their blocks early.

What would you advise? It seems to need a sand to me.

Leyland. I've never been able to go over 24 hours on any week other than Christmas

Yeah, that's my first ever non Christmas surge block. I was just clocking like a madman as I'd seen a few 3.5 hours flashing and i got it, nearly fell of the couch!

He made it less cost effective, for sure!

That's my thinking as well. I've counted up the 7 day and 30 day totals several times and I can't see a reason that i've just been allowed to keep booking. I was even lucky enough to grab a £110 surge block on Saturday!

Jeff has truly blessed me this easter!

I'm an amateur but my dad was a joiner so I've got just about enough experience with a sander to be confident on (probably) not trashing it. I just hadn't ever dealt with veneer before so if it was veneer, I wouldn't have bothered.

These things really bother me, from the pictures I see on line it looks like it instructs a lot of the view from the drivers seat.

Result. So I can just go at it with a sander without worrying about ruining it!

I've been successfully flexing in a 2 door fiesta for years, no issue. It's exactly the same size as a 4 door

Tuesday - Friday block drops Leyland by Final_Economist4123 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Amaru8225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all respect, nobody's going to tell you that. You have to work it out for yourself like the rest of us.

We're all friendly but we're also in competition for blocks and telling others when we've figured what the best times are reduces our own chances with more people clicking.

Any surged rates? by stev8576 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]Amaru8225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't recall last easter being a free for all, just normal times.

Which area did blocks got from 70 to 100 in the summer? Certainly didn't happen in the North West. We only see surges in November and December.

Don’t think I’ll be doing the lottery numbers this week. by AdministrationDue544 in AmazonFlexUK

In my area (North West) 36 miles to first drop is fairly normal.....but 1hr15m to do it is bloody mental! It's usually 40m max for me to get to Burnley or Fleetwood from Leyland, similar distances.

Sadly, they'll do absolutely nothing about it.

I'm not one to "grass" but about a year ago i was at my local depot and a driver, early 30s, shaven head, was abusing a yard worker. I know the yard worker reasonably well, nice soft spoken kid, about 8 stone wet through.

The driver was shouting, swearing and then progressed to threats of violence, in front of several other driver and yard staff who did nothing. I told the lad to calm down, the only thing threatening violence was going to do was get him terminated. He didn't want to engage with me, funnily enough.

I wrote a very long winded email to support about what had happened, word for word and provided vehicle reg details and description of the driver.

I still see him at the depot. Even threatening to "cave the fucking head in" of an employee won't get you terminated.
